Classics Dreadwing?

Recommended Posts

OK, I think I've come up with a theoretical combination to make a classics Dreadwing out of Botcon Dreadwind & the upcoming Darkwing. I just used Silverbolt & Treadbolt as they were the most readily available to me to pull off the shelf:

first thing is seperate the boosters from the backpack attachment, and create some form of bracketing that comes off the backpack and stretches back over Darkwing under the flipped nosecone, that the boosters will be attached to. It should be a semi-solid piece that will also snap into the two snaps on Darkwing that will become available when the nose is flipped back. Then Dreadwind's gun can be fit into that part as well:

Note the boosters fit along the nose quite well, providing they're fastened with some form of bracketing:

Undercarriage views to see how to form them up so they match fairly well:

Unfortunately I have no skill in making parts, as I'm guessing any bracketing necessary would be completely scratchbuilt.

The original one had the rear jet fold it's wings forward, to form one big pair of wings.

Try switching the two planes, do Treadbolts wings touch Silverbolts if you move them forwards enough ?

Can you try that one out ?

Otherwise cool Idea, me likey :)

Problem is, Treadbolt's cockpit doesn't swing up so that the nosecone is facing backward on top of the fusalage.

If someone can figure out the bracketing, I think you have something there

very nice, i've been working on figuring out a combo method for these two, seems you are almost spot on.

now you need 2 minicons for powermasters.

Screw bracketing, use rare earth magnets.
