Short Descriptions for Forthcoming New Animated Characters

Hmmm... Hotshot in the same continuity as Bumblebee and Rodimus Prime?

Doesn't that break some kind of space time law or something?

Wait till Cheetor and Sideburn show up.

The fandom will self-destruct. :lol

Animated, even though it does have some merit in it's writing, craps on the characters they rehash.

I'd prefer if they just introduced new characters all together, with revisited characters furthering or elaborating on the scource material.

is it to much to ask that they at least try and do it right!?!

I don't even know where to begin dismantling these points. but Hobbes has a good start.

the rest is for another thread I am afraid.

I know, "geewun..." and all that crap, but not for nothing, these are G1 properties(and some beast era), so is it to much to ask that they at least try and do it right!?!

Uh...what, exactly, are they not doing right? Keeping in mind that they're creating a show for a young demographic and all that entails, I think Animated is consistantly one of the strongest pieces of official fiction this franchise has ever had.

Omg I agree with you again! I have never enjoyed a TF show this much since BW! Animated is awesome. Well I guess since it's got some BW writers....

I wanna see the toys. Animated, even though it does have some merit in it's writing, craps on the characters they rehash. The show just isn't doing it for me, which is sad because it has potential to be one of the best TF series out there.

(I know, it was rhetorical)

Um...I'm asking for it I know, but...WTF IS RIGHT? Cause this isn't G1 or BW or BM or any other series, it's Animated. It's own thing.

And here are some character breakdowns:

Prime is just Primal + Prime + Rodimus and changing and growing - it's a new series that is changing and growing per season.

Bumblebee is still the kid-friendly, human-lover who's eager to do his best, just like G1.

Grimlock is SUPER-G1 all the way.

Ratchet is still the grumpy medic, just now he's old like Kup.

Ultra Magnus & Jazz are awesome G1-inspired. How could they get more G1?

Megatron is Megs. Doesn't get more G1 than that, except he's got a good alt mode.

Starscream is about as G1 as he could possibly be, without being patheticly STOOPID.

The Seekers are farging awesome for once - Fully Explained & Rockin! Chickscream!!!

Soundwave was one G1 fanboy handjob.

I could go on, but I'll leave it at that.

I just don't see where you are coming from at all here Liege.

I think he's high. Animated takes G1 characters and makes them what we always imagined/wanted them to be. Without exception.

Well, okay, maybe I wasn't dreaming of Blitzwing talking like Col. Clink, but I like how they made his triple changing part of his personality and not just a toy gimmick.

LIES!

My god I agree with LM now. Christmas really DOES bring everyone together! :P The 3 persona deal was what really made me a massive Blitzwing fan. And the accent is great.

And DM is right. This show is super G1. Only it's well-written.

Am I a bad Tfan if I think this news is more awesome than the TF2 news?

I feel exactly the same way. What I loved about TF1 were the robot designs and the OMFG SHITTING PANTS NOW reveal with Sam and Barricade. But beyond that.............. eh?

Animated consistently takes everything that I've ever loved about Transformers and presents it in an awsumer way that makes me feel like "wow, these guys really get it." It's also genuinely entertaining. And it's also somehow completely free of the stench of fanboyness, which is pretty miraculous, considering the zillions of G1/BW/BM references in the show. My kids love it just as much as I do, and as far as I'm concerned that is :win

So yeah, I'm definitely glad for the attention that TF1 got for the brand, but damn... I still think about the fact that they incorporated Megatron's movie design into his Cybertronian form for :animated and think, "wow that's so freaking brilliant."

I could go on... *gush*

Feels the same way.

Even with the ROTF SW proto already being reviewed and shown off I just don't care about any of it.

Animated with new characters spanning Generations of incarnations is more than enough excitement for me right now.

These new characters will be :awsum

*changes name to 'Galvatron Is Not Lavender God Dammit'*

*hopes that when Galvatron makes his TF:A appearance, he is the entirely wrong shade of blurple, just to see Pete's fan wang droop*

Situation Critical: Yellow Kid-friendly Chracter Overload

You think They'll have Jolt paired with Hotshot? Maybe not a "minicon" per-say, but like the Upcoming Universe Hotshot?
