Wal-mart, Target, TRU

Recommended Posts

I would suggest checking your local Target right now or try calling them up, their ad for Leaders went out last weekend, so I'm sure they would stock those up asap. I got my Magnus yesterday at Target.

I'd love for that to happen in my area. However, knowing the way stock moves and stuff (my nearest WalMart just started stocking Elite Guard BB and Sentinel Prime (but oddly no Swoop or he's flying off the shelves fast)). Either way, it's looking like next week I'm buying Magnus from HTS. Thank god for coupon codes and stuff (retailmenot.com has coupon codes for most shop sites, including HTS).

Get friendly with a clerk, they'll tell you when the boxes show up. In my area Hasbro delivers for Tuesday and Friday, with new product showing up the second weekend of the month.

Target also has a store locater on their sight for most items that'll tell you if it's in stock or not.

Wal-Mart: A truck arrives every night, but it depends on which departments are receiving stock. I do know my local store doesn't stock toys on the weekends. Only Sunday through Thursday.

Target: Thursdays and Sundays for toys (this was confirmed by several stores, and my girlfriend who is a GSTL.) but trucks come in pretty much every night. (it's a crapshoot as to when they'll get what you're looking for, in stock.)

TRU: Tuesdays, Thursdays. (The items aren't on the pegs/shelves and available for sale until the next day. Wednesday, Friday.)

The best tip I can give you is this:

Wal-Mart: Be there between 10:30p-2:30a (this is the time the workers have really gotten into their work and most of the pallets are broken down.) If a stocker's on their break (usually 2:00) you can crack open the case to get what you want, or ask another associate to do it for you, someone outside of Toys.

Target: Be there bright and early at 8:00a when they open and do your best to be the first one to the Toy Department. (it's really your only good chance of beating everyone else.) Stocking takes place between 4:00a-12:00p and toys are among the first to be stocked. If for some reason they don't get them stocked in the morning, they'll be the last stocked (it all depends on what the "big push" is for that truck) so if you see nothing new at 8, come back around lunch time.

TRU: Be there bright and early (10:00a) when they open and rush the TF aisle. If that fails, run to customer service and take the SKN number with you (can be found on their website) or the UPC (if all else fails) and have them check the computer. If it's not on the shelves, it will clearly tell them if they have any in stock in the store, or at another one close by.

Those have worked for me, and rarely fail. The only times they failed for me was that they either didn't get what I was looking for, the employee(s) were unwilling to assist me (up to and including the management), or someone was just a tad bit faster than I was.
