My Alt Sunstreaker

Recommended Posts

Is Yellow Tracks available in the Alternators line? I'd love to get an "official" yellow Sunstreaker.

Not bad, some simple yet effective custom work there.

So how do you personally go about transforming it? Sunstreaker's head is several mm too wide to fit through the hole in the chestplate, so it'd either have to turn and fit through sideways (if it's narrow enough), or just be removed and reattached every time.

I'd comment on the look of Sunstreaker-Tracks, but I'll just say I much prefer the look of the Viper body and leave it at that.

That's the best kind for us amateurs! :)

Advice I will gladly take into consideration if I ever am motivated to bash a $30 Canadian TF. Also great job on the Alts everyone. Sunstreaker looks great for your first kitbash Dufftrix. Thumbs way up.

With the way mine's head is mounted, if you turn the head around backwards, it fits into the opening in the chest plate just enough to allow the car mode to fit together, but the flap with the autobot logo on it stays just far enough down to keep the rear wheels from touching the ground. I may attempt to kitbash a solution to this later on, but it doesn't bother me, as my Alts rarely (if ever) see thier vehicle modes.

As for the Vette vs. Viper mold preference, I like the look of the bot mode on the vette, and personally think it's a more fitting homage than the Viper body. I do like the Viper as Sunstreaker too, but the ease in this kitbash vs. painting the entire toy of Dead End won it for me in the end. I may still end up repainting the leftover parts of Dead End, but not for a while.
