Universe Combaticons & Legends Brawn and Beachcomber

Angst over the Gestalts' hands and feet is funny to me.

What does he need fingers for? It's not like they combine to do delicate work or attend tea parties. They merge and smash and seperate. Thats it.

BFG's for hands seem's appropriate to me.

Although I agree with what others have said... one of those E-Ariel-Bots for Blast off and ONE NEW MOLD for swindle

actually, just paint the constructicon with the grabby hand brown and I would have called it close enough

would have gone a long way in selling this set for me.

On the flip side - having a jeep the same size as a Space shuttle is the epitome of: :lame :ghey :fail

I always used to pretend that Blast Off was just a sort of... small jet thingy. But it's not like any of the G1 Combaticons' vehicle modes would have been in scale to each other.

I need color pixx of these guys. I MIGHT be interested if the colors look good enough (and bonus points if they make the hands & feet silver/gray plastic and not clear something).

:pfx G1-esque colors for the hands/feet would be a good :thumb to the collectors who actually care about this crap :redface

For anyone who was wanting to see what the helicopter repaints look like (I had to dig this up):

Nice find!

I love this set, despite the H :nooo NDS. I had them all when Energon was out and selling them was very hard to do some years later before I got married (needed $$$ for honeymoon ). The fact that these are being rereleased makes me very happy. Here's hoping for G1-esque color schemes for them all.

I think the Helicopter's hand pieces rule. At least as compared to the others.

I hoped these are released individually because I need that Energon Blackout/Stormcloud mold to complete my Classics Bruticus Project.

The individual pieces are

Barricade - Energon Barricade

Brawl - Energon Kickback

Blastoff - Energon Windrazor

Swindle - Energon Strongarm

Vortex - Here's where I need that helicopter mold.

dlx-Onslaught=$15

mini dlxs=$10.99

lame.

*has all three complete energon combiners*

At least the collector's club is using different toys for the various limbs on their combiner. I wish Hasbro could be as creative. This Bruticus might be something I'd buy just for the hell of it. However, the lack of variety of limbs in this combiner really turns me away from it.

I'll pick it up for sure. And I'm looking forward to not having to buy 2 sets to get one good 'bot like I did to get an all-green Devastator.

It occurs to me that the completely-inappropriate-for-a-space-shuttle brown/black/purple Blast Off color scheme could look awesome on a tank.

It also occurs to me that if they do these guys up in G2 purple camo I may have to buy the whole set.

I'm just worried about the price. The constructions for classics, were around 30 dollars. Which is understandable and works. But with the price increase it could be like $40 or more.

Personally i think the colors are what IS or ISNT going to sell this piece well. I dont think they want to give other combiners parts b/c they most likely have plans for the Airialbots ;)

And maybe even Devastator again :shrug

All i know, is as long as it looks good, im fine with the mold ESPECIALLY the (even know it shows it on the instruction booklet that it doesnt have, it could have new) hands/feet!

I don't think reuse of the limbs is a concern with these molds....
