Universe Combaticons & Legends Brawn and Beachcomber

Angst over the Gestalts' hands and feet is funny to me.

What does he need fingers for? It's not like they combine to do delicate work or attend tea parties. They merge and smash and seperate. Thats it.

BFG's for hands seem's appropriate to me.

Although I agree with what others have said... one of those E-Ariel-Bots for Blast off and ONE NEW MOLD for swindle

actually, just paint the constructicon with the grabby hand brown and I would have called it close enough

would have gone a long way in selling this set for me.

On the flip side - having a jeep the same size as a Space shuttle is the epitome of: :lame :ghey :fail

I always used to pretend that Blast Off was just a sort of... small jet thingy. But it's not like any of the G1 Combaticons' vehicle modes would have been in scale to each other.

I need color pixx of these guys. I MIGHT be interested if the colors look good enough (and bonus points if they make the hands & feet silver/gray plastic and not clear something).

So then those helicopters we had seen (that people were inexplicably calling Sandstorm and Whirl, despite there being plainly visible Decepticon symbols on them) were Swindle and Vortex, respectively.

I seriously hope not, but now that you mention it does seem more likely then not.

It doesn't really bother me that they're repainting these guys again. However I agree with what others have said. I'd be more inclined to get this guy if they had actually switched out the extra helicopter and tank for one of the aeriolbot limbs and one of the constucticon limbs.

Muggins here didnt follow his own advice and WAIT for this version to come out before buying the original set. Looks like Ill have to sell the original Japanese boxed set and buy the new one if it's any good (and repaint an old arialbot as blastoff and find another bot to be swindle)

Betya the arialbots also come out for universe 25th ani too.

The fact that a space shuttle was in a group called the Combaticons was always a giant WTF for me anyhow.

Well Blastoff was made from an F4U Corsair, he just turned into a tiny space shuttle for no reason.

People complain so much of how it could’ve been retooled but…

The budget for store exclusives are usually rather low, such expectations are unrealistic. This set is perfect for those like me, who didn’t find him at retail and would dislike paying around $100 for it total.

Want :<

Is there confirmation on if this will be sold as a box set or individually?

I picked up Barricade and one each of the 'Copter and Tank molds in Energon, thinking I'd be happy with two of the Jet combiner limbs to finish the robot and give me a complete gestalt, but my Retarded Fan Complex won't let me stick two Autobots on the gestalt without some complex backstory as to why they're all working together.

I'd love to pick up Vortex and Blast-Off to amend that...(My 'Copter and Tank are already pretty color appropriate enough for Swindle and Brawl, so it'd work out well to just pick up the other two. I can't remember their Energon names anyway.)
