OK, nothing's gonna even come close to Viagra Prime's Wheeljack, but here's my take on it. I tried to not be as detailed and close to the G1 toy version, but closer to the way he looked on the cartoon. He's not finished yet, but here's a look so far

UPDATED AT END OF THREAD. THANKS I had almost ditched this one, but after working on the arms tonight, he's back on board. :) The kit came with marlboro decals which would be kind of cool to have a diaclone version of him but not that cool. eh, we'll see how that goes. the legs and arms come from classics mirage. the head and feet are cast from energon downshift. the feet joints are bionicle. shoulder joints came from classics firebot and cybertron clocker. door flap joints came from classics divebomb. and :wtf yes, he tranforms...for now. anyway here he is. thanks for lookin'

http://www.reprolabels.com/alt_labels.html 'k is it just me or does the labels make his head look REALLY small? I was planning just repainting the strips green a red when I get him. (cursed scalpers~!)

  5. Started by frenzy_rumble,

I got started on Wheeljack last night. I'm still undecided on which gen head I am going to use (or model like) I'm gonna keep this WIP logged, and update screenshots here as well. I've taken many photos in between the ones below, which I intend to one day make a painting tutorial from. Process (so far) 1)Took BB completely apart 2) sanded the entire figure with 600, then 1200 grit 3m sandpaper 3) taped him up (all the darker parts which I don't need white on 4) sprayed light coats of white fusion (sprayed into a can cap, then into a bottle) onto parts I want to become white 5) sprayed black (airbrush) on all robot insides. 6) drybrushed the robot insides…

  6. The short story: My Alt. Wheeljack's blue paint was chipping (ARGH DAMN YOU AND YOUR PISSPOOR QC HASBRO/TAKARA), so I saw it as an excuse to give him a different look. I was too afraid to repaint him, since I didn't want to mess him up, so after 20 minutes in Illustrator making a custom set of labels (since IMO Reprolabels' set is...not good at all), I made him a set that's still semi-modern while retaining GeeWun flavah, IMO. Check it out.

  7. Started by frenzy_rumble,

Wheeljack's going into the paint shop tomorrow, and today, I ran his image through some quick digbashing to experiment with some trendier paint styles. Attached are 3 variations... I'm not 100% on my decision for which to go with so I thought it would be fun to throw a poll type thread on our message board asking you guys (the fans of transformers) to do the work for me. Above each pic is a number, please use that number when voting ;) Please vote! he's feeling naked with just white. Number 1 Number 2 Number 3

  8. Started by MikePrime,

We all know that Classics Cliffjumper is just going to be a straight repaint of Bumblebee. However, to a lot of people, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee look alike. Now, that's not entirely true, but it is darn close. Classics Cliffjumper can be his own bot, all he needs is a little modification to the base of his head. He's Bumblebee, with long hair, as it were. All he really needs is some kind red attached to the bottom-sides of his head to fill in the area, as well as a small piece joining the gap between the ridge on top of Bumblebee's head and his forehead.
