Wheeljack reprolabels...

Recommended Posts

I think it's just the perspective they used.

Also, I notice that the stickers don't take care of the blue detailing on his waist and arms.  So you'll probably have to paint him anyway- a little bit at least.

I think a good idea to solve the blue parts thing is to buy another grimlock and swap out the blue stuff on wheeljack and apply the repro stickers. Maybe use the extra grimlock with blue parts for a soundwave bash. Just some ideas I had

Those are actually really good ideas. I would do that however Grimlock never made it to my area so I ended up buying him from Jetfire Alt. However what you descibed here is what I would do if I could. However I`ll probably just repaint the waist and feet whatever color they were in G1 which I think was black. I`ll do the same to the blue areas on his arms and then paint his sword with transparent paints maybe a redish color interior and a greenish edge.

MEH! those stickers make wheeljack look horrendous.  Has anyone seen the pic of the mustang with the blue stickers? (same stripes, a #5 on teh hood and doors, and a few racing logos)-Now that looks badass.  The reprolabel stickers (though I do love reprolabels.com work and efforts) make wheeljack look like a car from Animaniacs or something.

I think they look prety good actually.  If you get another Wheeljack, just swap the head for a repainted Sideswipe head, and you got a decent breakdown

I dont know they look a little overboard.  Most of the time repro's stickers are pretty subtle, but these are just a little too much for me.  Maybe if you paint the blue parts red like other's suggested it wouldn't look so clash-tastic.

i think they're pretty good, just not what i want for wj at this point as he's fine the way he is once you paint his eyes blue and take that stupid spoiler off, however i wouldn't mind adding the ford mustang racing decals that he's based on.

im really not sure about these stickers. i mean its making it more g1ish obviously but i dunno the body type still dosent work for me. im gonna try an make my own deadend/wheeljack that i saw a while back (think it was war machine) and then see if repolabel will do a custom set for me :thumb

Your local vinyl graphics place can (and probably will) make custom vinyl apps for you if you can't do it yourself. There's actually a model shop about an hour from me that deals mostly with gas powerd RC that will do custom vinyl graphics for models. I'm sure you could find a place for that. You could probably design your own decals without /too/ much trouble. Reprolabels being precut is nice though.

I think these labels are pretty cool... but a little bit over the top. Mostly I just don't like the mold for Wheeljack... or anyone other than Grimlock really.
