Upgrades

Yes I'm one of "those" people that don't like the blue stripes. I mean if going with the whole idea of what the Alternators were supposed to be, a line for G1 homages, they should have at least tried to stick to his original color scheme. The only thing that looks like WJ is the head and the car is white. I also think Wheeljack would have looked better in the Tracks mold, but that's a whole other story. I did a really quick didibash as to how I think the Alt Wheeljack should have been painted up. Thought I would share. I would have made the spoiler white as well, but I'm thinking the new gang mold created for the new parts probably included more than just the spo…

Does anyone know who all has one up for sale? I'm trying to get one that is gray...or pics of the black one.

It`s not done yet. I actually started on this part at like 9:30 or 10:00 tonight. I just duct taped it together to show you guys that I haven`t given up. I`ll probably glue it to the angle rod either tomorrow night or sunday night. I`ll try to have actual pictures of him totally complete in about a week or 2 as I have alot of work to do with my father and of course I do work for a living.

Here's an Alt WJ I did for a buddy of mine using the Tracks mold. I removed the missile that came with it originally and made that section into wings instead ala G1 WJ. I made custom launchers based on the G1 WJ launchers and have those be his launchers instead. Here are the car pics first. Edit: I refer to this as #2 because I've already made one for myself using a different mold and car body kit.

So I bought my first extra Silverstreak and I wanted to try kitbashing it. What do you think I should make him into? No Prowls/Smokescreens or any other things that has been made so far by someone else though.

We've all seen pics of an Alternators Menasor with various bots as the limbs and a repainted 20th Anniversary OP as Motor Master... What if the main body were composed of two regular sized Alternators, kinda like how Devastator is built? That would save money on having to buy an OP, and ain't he die-cast, too? This way, everything could be plastic and not uneven in the weight?

Hello All, I noticed that the fists on Wingsaber also were made to connect with the Optimus units (1-4) in the same way that Optimus' forarms do. So, I took liberties. Units 3 and 4 are merely standing on top of the Wingsaber legs. This allows Optimus to have a drill for a knee cap. I also found a way to "attatch" Energon Magnus (though this does make him more top heavy, and harder to balance. Yes, I know this makes his crotch super high, but this is still a functional, and unencumbering design. In both shots the figure is free standing.

For you kbashers out there, what's the difference? I want to carve G1 style heads for Dead End & Swindle, but have only used wood & plaster in the past. I know that the War Within Kbash used one of these products, but I don't know what to get or where to get it. I found webpages that sold polystyrene sheets, but those are only a few millimeters thick. I'm looking for more of a brick sized amount.
