this is what i was talking about...my method for recoloring was to isolate the area i wanted to recolor, then work on the hue settings. i removed all saturation (turning it black and white), then maxed out the light as far as i could (to make it more white and less gray/dark gray). Unfortunately, this whites out the part, as you can see. Consider this a WIP.

I was wondering how easy it is to paint a translucent plastic and keep it see through. Is it even possible? I don't want to destroy a perfectly good light pipe, for instance.

I'm repainting some Energon starscreams into Skywarp, Thundercracker, Sunstorm, and maybe another one. I'm thinking about making the coneheads out of the E. Superion jets (air raid mold). No photoshop, so I can't show you what they'd look like. Do you think it'll be nice, or should I do them all out of E. Starscreams?

I was stripping the paint off of Skids for a repaint and I found the most easy way to remove paint from Alts. I was able to remove all the paint from the clear plastic. All you need is a corse towel or regular scratch pad (you know, for washing dishes?). A cheap bottle of rubbing alcohol from wal-mart. Run the painted areas under scalding hot water for about a minute, and then dip your towel or pad in the alcohol. and rub hard on the area you want striped......one or two sessions and,viola ! all done ! HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU AS WELL AS IT HAS FOR ME.

im just curious why variants are such high demand I mean why not make your own variant right? Like all those folks who make black prime, green, etc...couldnt we custom make something in differenet material and sell it for thousands more and call it, "rare"?
