Upgrades

Everyone's beloved mad scientist gets Alternator treatment. I always thought this would be a good repaint for the Scion mould. Some say Ironhide...I say Perceptor. He never gets much love anyway. First ups Alt pics. I left the gold dust and tint on the windows. Why? Because I like it.

Started him off yesterday, put him back together today..Probably one of the quickest jobs I've done yet, and his colors are as sharp and crisp as I've ever done. Loving him so far. Bot mode pics a bit later this week. There he is next to the new Nemesis Prime.

For anyone who has energon cliffjumper, you know that you have to use the yellowthings as shoulder pads in his uper body poerlinx mode. bUt what i did instead was use the yellow things as a chest protect by lowering then down and and attaching them. If some one understands what i'm saying, please post pics because i have no camera. P.S. Make the pants ironhides.

I noticed over at STP primes link that he had done a couple of simple mods to Prime to improve it. I would like to know how to accomplish the leg mod, and the one for the shoulders. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Before I head out for the night I thought I'd share a quick digibash of a kitbash I plan on doing once Alt Prime comes out. Trailbreaker got screwed out of his Jeep form so what could be better for an alternate choice than a big black truck? I tried to follow the mould patterns so some things came out a little different than I wanted (the red hands).I figured once I get my hands on the Prime Alt, or see an unpainted prototype, I'll have a better idea of what needs to be painted what color, but for now here's the idea I'm going to be shootin' for. Hi all. I hav been browsing this place for a while! love the work on here. Just wish i was this good. Has anyone done a bash of Alt Prime to give him the flames effect of Movie Prime? Would love to see just how good it would look if i tried it. I am also working on a mod that i havent seen done yet and wondering if anyone else has tried. I want to remove the hood hinges and all and reconnect to the bulkhead under the screen in Alt Mode, with a lift and swivel pin so the bonnet will fold over behind Prime in Robot mode. Then have a design for a chest piece to unfold from in between his wheels.. Any body got any suggestions to help me along with this…

Hi all, Ok so i have been giving this minor mod a lot of thought since xmas and figured i would give it a go last night. I found some interesting spray paints by plasti-Kote. Supposed to be a chrome finish. I am quite impressed. Except, when taking off the masking tape the paint wasnt quite cured and i got finger prints on it. Not smart. however you can see red in the grille now where the masking tape was which i am not happy with. Any got any suggestions? Is there a better masking type stuff than masking tape? Do i spray it all chrome and then touch in the black spacings? PS the stand thing is just knocked up to hold the grille plate while spraying. …

I just Looked at a online gallery for Alt prime and noticed under his enigine Block is way too .. well empty. Could a Ravage sized Enigine fit in there? If you havnt guessed yet Im thinking of a Unicron_WMD's Soundwave kind of Bash, If no one remembers it looked like Prime but well backwards (I guess) anyway is this a good idea or not a chance. Heres his pic.. The Prime bash doesnt have to look excactly but at least 60 % simular? Could this be done???
