^ you could also do a little arm swap. Trailbreaker had some red in him (granted not on his arms), and if you put Prime's arms on NP you get at least some red in the robot without the need to paint. Then painting the NP arms blue and putting those on Prime, you get a better Ginrai.

That's awesome, I had that same idea, but didn't know how to do a good digibash.  Now I'm definitely doing that.

I see Trailbreaker as a pickup towing showcars to a concours or the drag strip. As far as Hoist's Alt character is concerned, I would see him as a modern day interpretation of a bodyshop's Promo truck.

 

i.e. Look at the Overhaulin' episode where they did 2 pickup trucks in the same show. I am refering to the NAPA company truck. Or if you perfer, look at the horrible movies that the Fast and the Furious franchise is. You will see what I mean.

 

Therefore, keeping in mind that this is a Dodge Ram SRT-10, with a V10 Viper engine making 500 bhp, stock, to the rear wheels, don't ask for it to be AWD. It doesn't come that way; only RWD.

Here's a quickie color change to Hoist. I'm not too thrilled with how it turned out and didn't bother with a truck bash, but figured I'd show it anyway since I actually did it.

Grrrr. less chance of seeing a Trailbreaker kitbash soon now that Nemesis Prime has been confirmed as an exclusive.  Still - given time, I'm sure we will get an official Trailbreaker from Hasbro.

I've been on the lookout and haven't seem to have found anyone who has yet to bash a Trailbreaker and/or Ironhide out of an Alt Prime yet! Can anyone point me in the right direction for one of these, or has it really not been attempted yet?!

 

Maybe thats cause there are not enough Alt Primes to go round! (I haven't been able to pick one up...!)

Yeah, Alternators Prim hasn't even hit full retail circulation yet...and thats because of the dry-spell that toys suffer over he summer.

 

It sucks, but retail toy sales always slow down in June and July, and don't pick up until the end of August.  So retailers just leave the shelves bare.  We will all have to wait.  I managed to get two Optimus Primes, but none of them were from a retail location.  One I got from the Transformers Collector's Club Store (membership does have its privileges!) and the other from a tfan that just didn't like him.

 

I have not seen an Alternator Trailbreaker yet...I know everyone was disappointed to see my custom turn out to be Armada Megatron and not Hoist...but I'm sure once Optimus Prime is warming shelves everywhere...we'll have an overabundance of Tralbreakers and Hoists.

 

As far as Ironhide, do you mean the G1 character, or the RID character that was a black/white truck?  The mold fits the RID character, but not the G1, thats why I ask...
