AcToys has posted up photos of Transformers Universe Special Editions which currently shows G1 repaints of the Classic Optimus Prime and Megatron Versus Packs labeled as Optimus Prime SE-01 and Megatron SE-02 and side box art illustrates Decepticon Dragstrip SE-03 (Mirage Repaint) and Overkill SE-04 (Grimlock Repaint). ComingSoon.net is reporting that according to Variety, the writer for the upcoming Transformers feature film will be John Rogers, who's most recent work was serving as the screenwriter of......Catwoman. Following yesterday's NEWS that saw Arcee, how shall we say, depart, Line Producer Ian Bryce has dropped in to update the fans on progress of the move. Some interesting titbits here, including news about the design team and special effects studio: Pressed for a few more details we discovered: So, we can add Mr. Mann to the list of crew, make note that preporoduction is well underway, set a date for filming to begin, confirm Bay, assume that ILM are going to be behind the special effects and breathe in relief that production is storming along. Following on the heels of Tokyo Toy Show 2012, the August issue of Hobby Japan is showing off Takara Tomy's upcoming Transformers Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor (Sideswipe), MP-13 Soundwave, and MP-14 Red Alert. The magazine also showcases the Amazon Japan exclusives of MP-12's pile drivers and MP-13's Energon Cubes. Lambor is due in October while Soundwave and Red Alert are set for a December release.
