Found this on the Japanese image boards: (cut + paste link into browser) "http://transformers.hp.infoseek.co.j p/cgi-bin/img-box/i mg20050907093341.jpg" I can't read Japanese but it looks to be from Assault Suits Valken 2 the sequel to what we got over here in the SNES days as Cybernator. Damn I love that game. *fires up emulator*

When the reissue line starts winding down (as it probably will with mold becoming scarce as Hasbro indicates) I think an effort should be made to do into a line of G1 supplements... Maybe with some remolded G1 figures and new G1-style molds. My wish list would be: Alpha Trion (Scourge maybe?) Arcee Jazz - Cybertronian mode (Waverider) Orion Pax (Perceptor reworked?) Primus (more or less a wide reissue of the Rodimus repaint in Japan with some subtle differences) Sunstorm (ditto) And a Unicron without the light features and transparent parts with the minicon pegs removed from the mold... This would probably need to be after the Energon Unicrons cycle throu…

Near the end of G1, transformers started branching out looking for gimmicks past the idea of being able to change forms. Along with the Headmasters, Targetmasters, and Powermasters, a line was created called the Pretenders. Basic transformation robots inside a crispy plastic shell. The idea was a sound one, but the toys lacked a certain quality that was found in other transformers, mostly believable alt modes. It seemed that while the shell of the pretender was granted detail, the interior robot had very little. Tak for Example Bludgeon, this is one of the most sought after Pretenders to date, but it suffers from what I mentioned above. The shell has oodles of detai…

Hey all, Was thinking about the possibility of an alt combiner the other day after seeing the spectacular menasor custom (sorry, credit where credit's due for the kitbasher) that has appeared on several sites. I then got to thinking, seeing as in G1 a combiner was essentially 5 personalities merged into 1 unique personality (hence the4 term gestalt) then why can't these characters exist in the alternators universe as independent robots. For example, why not have a small spin of line of say 4 vehicles still at 1/24 scale but larger vehicles, like armada had different size classes of robot. We could have a big rig for menasor, fire truck for defensor, jet of some sort for …

I've got all but Scourge, Jetfire (passed on both) and Hot Shot. Dunno if I'll bother with them. Are there any more to be made?

hi there, just got back from a trip to Amsterdam, and as usual wandered down to a great collectors store on the Prinsengracht, picked up a few pieces, one of which was the Robot Masters Metallic version Leoconvoy, the DVD edition, thing is, although it was completely MISB, theres no DVD, i mean completely sealed, not a scratch on it, every twist tie secure and the instructions etc, still sealed as well. was the DVD a mail away feature ? or did i just get one that was missed out ?

Hello, Tonight I won 2 eBay auctions for 2 R.I.D. two packs. The first was Skid-Z & Skyfire. The second was Tow-Line & Wind Sheer. I got them because I am a huge fan of plane Transformers and both Skyfire and Wind Sheer looks really cool being purple and black respectively. With Tow-Line and Skid-Z, it also means that I now own all of the show characters from R.I.D. So that makes it a cool buy. :thumb Anyways, I was wondering what you guys thought, is 15 Euro per 2 pack too much? 6 Euro in shipping needs to be added to that. One must take in account that shipping from the US would cost around $10-$15 and that figures in this size class use…

OK, I just found Steamhammer today, and Duststorm and Sledge yesterday. This was at Target no less, and they almost never have the new stuff first in our area. Duststorm is OK. The alt mode looks a bit like a big mini-con, and the overall color scheme just doesn't do much for me. Still it's not a bad figure when you consider the transformation and so on. He's still fun. Steamhammer. Boy, this guy got the shaft. Of the three deluxe size combiners, he's the worst. Robot mode is lacking in a number of areas - no head posability. It's stuck between those treads and really can't move. He's got E. Demolishor syndrome with his spindly right arm, and the whole …
