When the reissue line starts winding down (as it probably will with mold becoming scarce as Hasbro indicates) I think an effort should be made to do into a line of G1 supplements... Maybe with some remolded G1 figures and new G1-style molds.

My wish list would be:

Alpha Trion (Scourge maybe?)

Arcee

Jazz - Cybertronian mode (Waverider)

Orion Pax (Perceptor reworked?)

Primus (more or less a wide reissue of the Rodimus repaint in Japan with some subtle differences)

Sunstorm (ditto)

And a Unicron without the light features and transparent parts with the minicon pegs removed from the mold... This would probably need to be after the Energon Unicrons cycle through to keep the mold in use and in very limited quantities in re-issue style packaging.

Some of these are just subtle retoolings but Universe can't touch the G1 molds and these characters are all major enough that I think any hardcore G1 fan would have to go for them.

i have always said there should be an alpha trion figure(scourge would work too )

they should do "new" toys in the reissue line y'know the stuff that never came out like trion and G1 arcee and the other fembots also orion pax would be cool too! :thumb

I totally agree. I have always wanted to have these characters. It would be a must buy for all G1 fans. Hasbro or Takara would be dumb not to take advantage of that.

Kinda defeats the idea of re-issues though, however now that they are winding it down, they should consider a few G1s in universe like they did with king Atlas (I gotta get me one of those :tfgrin ) I mean I would love to see prime re issued again and despite his "collector's status" He's still a great toy that they could easily sell on a more open market. I'm sure the same could be said for toher G-1 figs.

I think Alpha Trion would be cool

I'm all for the Alpha Trion idea and the Sunstorm one, but the rest aren't really up there. I really dislike the idea of gutting Unicron and making him nearly nonfunctional, only to sell him at a higher price, which would happen due to it being named a Commemorative Series figure and only made in small qualities.

Making new molds completely defeats the purpose of the reissue concept. Same with Universe. Besides - if I was going to see these characters in toy form, I'd greatly prefer a nice, high quality toy, rather than something deliberately aping G1's lack of posability.

I personally would really dig seeing an Arcee; apart from this i'd like to see some "toon accurate" reissues; take old figures such as ironhide/ratchet and jetfire, and make them into their toon versions(basically give ironhide and ratchet a head, and convert jetfire into a skyfire); now who's with me?

yeah the TRU eclusive thing has to hinder this. TRU is a good 2 hrs away from me and i'm sure it's a distance for others as well.
