These two look wicked similar. Are they seperate characters, or are we looking at a Hotshot to Rodimus Prime thing going on here?

Just got this last night. The instructions are 90% useless. I know not many people have this yet but it's worth a shot. How far are the hips supposed to extend when changing from Hot Rod to Rodimus mode? I can get them to move a little smidge, but not as far as shown in the instructions. When changing to car mode, where the hell do the hands go? I've tried turning them every which way, with the thumb in or out, with the fingers in or out, and even changing the hand to the tool extension thingy and I can't get it to fit. I see where the forearms are supposed to tab in but it can't reach. Is there a way to get the wings on the combined rifle mode to stay all the…

I just got a haul of booty from the Phillipines yesterday: the smaller-sized knock-offs of Devastator, Bruticus (well, the Valdigus redeco of that mold) and Ginrai. I'll be posting some pics of Bruticus and Ginrai later, but for now I've got scads of detailed photos of Devastator, who is about 30% smaller than my romped-on original (can't you tell it was my fave G1 toy?) and is comparable in size to a Micromaster gestalt: The plastic on these is pretty good quality. Why is it that I am seeing a trend in making bulky Bumblebee toys. First it was the Animated series where the dlx BB, then Alternity, and now War For Cybertron. I liked all three of these molds but they just seem to be to large for what was a scout class figure at best in the original line. I bring this up because I replaced my Classics BB and CJ with the alternity versions and have now replaced Alternity BB with WFC BB and am now looking at WFC Prime and WFC BB and just cannot get over how out of scale it is in both modes, this is in part to HasTak not releasing Voyager versions of prime and megs. I guess what I am saying is that I shouldnt have sold my classics BB.

I have Henki Astrotrain, Universe Octane(complete with the two extra guns he came with) and Animated Blitzwing. I have Animated Snarl, Swoop (did the mace mod) and I have Grimlock animated. My double trifecta is complete at last!

I'm going to go trade in my busted RtS(is that the right line? lol) Insecticon tomorrow(out of the package, I found out the right knee joint had a badly stressed pin, and I'm afraid it'll break. lol.), and I'm thinking of getting Skullgrin. I've heard quite a bit of hate, though...but most of it seems to be because it isn't old-school accurate enough. I didn't join into the fandom until around Beast Machines, so it doesn't matter to me. Buying for the more interesting colors, really(even if it does make the axe seemingly blander) xD So...any major flaws about the mold I should know? This may seem like a dumb question but it is rational to me. I want a 20th Prime, but the main problem is that he is an Autobot. Ever since I was a baby I have never had a great love for the bots. Then there is a kickass redeco of one of my favourite Tf's ever. People are probably sick of hearing me ask this and I had settled on Prime before but after playing with TW again my mind is uneasy. Which should I get and why? ps this is Finally final , I will pick whatever this poll says :thumb

Besides the Dinosaur Monsters of Combination bootleg for Abominus (see here) is there any other complete Abominus sets that feature a blue Rippersnapper? If not then I just got this in the mail as a "bonus" to buying broken Constructicons on EBay. They were loose however, and also did not come with all the peices in the pictures.
