Pre-Transformers

Lo all :wave Just got a small toy from my mom who found it in a box of old toys someone gave to her (to send to a second hand type store), which contained this guy among a Cosmos, Streetwise and a Royal-T Gobot :) Couldn't quite identify this transforming robot though which I can only describe as a rather boring grey tank (bottem part anyway), very solid looking. The head slides out from the front by pushing a slidebutton on the bottem. It has a bit the shape of a chrome, "fish inspired" head, red eyes and green "fins" on the side of the head. There's also some weird chrome lever thingy you can pull out on the bottem, I think it may be a trigger for a gunmod…

That set sold for $1200 on Ebay. Why are these going for so much now?

Spotted this guy on Ebay from Argentina. Kind of interestined to see South America KO'd the preTFs too.

I have a lot of images I took for the Super7 magazine article I did on the Takara Kronoform toys. I'll be adding them to my gallery that you can see below.

Who is Tigertrack and why does he deserve a Transformers Masterpiece release? That’s the question we asked last week, and we saw that yellow was the colour we could originally have gotten “Sideswipe” in for Transformers. Had this plan gone two steps further – stock art and photography – before being changed, we’d have another Blue Bluestreak on our hands. A prestigious Diaclone origin and a tricky reissue exclusive gave the ‘Yellow Sideswipe’ a mysterious aura, but “Tigertrack” has finally achieved deserved recognition as part of Takara Tomy’s flagship Masterpiece line. TFSource this morning has opened a preorder for Micro Robo MC20, a Not-Perceptor figure based on Perceptor's original Diaclone colors. This primarily black edition of the figure is going to be limited to only 1000 pieces and will include a special collector's coin. This figure is priced at $75 and is expected to ship in August. No word currently on a release date for a Perceptor colored version of this figure. Read the Full News Story Here

Finally a new article for TF-1.com instead of just an updated version of an old one! This time it's the grandfather of everything, the Diaclone Battle Convoy. "Optimus Prime, Battle Convoy, Diaclone Truck. Whichever official Takara or Hasbro toy line that this iconic and globally-recognised mould has been a part of, it's been the talismanic centrepiece. Its stature and gravity as part of the European-released Ceji Joustra Diaclone line is no exception, not only characterised as the leader of the heroic forces of good, but almost immediately becoming the most sought-after and popular Joustra Diaclone toy for collectors to find and purchase. The Ceji Joustra "Diaclone …

SO recently I started thinking outside the box when it came to tracking down some Pre Transformers animated series. Long story short, I snagged the whole Dorvak series, in Spanish, which is where G1 Whirl and Roadbuster came from. I believe that this is the closest to what an Animated Diaclone series would have been like. Think, Star Blazers on Earth with robo suits and transforming Hum-V's. Right down to the Gamalon invasion force, ships and troopers. The interesting thing is that the alien troopers are blue people in suits that remind me of the Diaclone Alien Drivers. So. What else am I missing? Was there a Beetras series? Does anyone have that on V…

Dear all, For the last month or so I've been putting together the biggest, most comprehensive and ambitious article I have ever written, numbering over 10,000 words and containing over 110 photos. It is the fruit of nearly 14 years of collecting and the incredible contributions of many generous, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and unique collectors throughout the world. This one feels like my life's work, but I cannot take sole responsibility for it by any stretch as the credits will show just how much input others have had in shaping what I hope will be for the forseeable future, the definitive article on the conception, history, evolution and fate of the Ceji Joustr…
