Optimus Prime

Just Prime, Convoy, Primal, Starsaber, and all the other Primeformers.

  1. When you get down to it, there are probably more little things to collect than big ones. Nothing beats, a big heavy piece on the shelf. But when a lot of the fun of collecting is in finding the bits and pieces we really want, the little guys can offer a lot of bounty hunting goodness. While Hasbro's Tiny Titans make for some good game with a handful of non-transforming PVCs we rarely see in America. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  2. Started by UltraConvoy,

I just got into Art work and I think I am off to a good start :) Unreleased Pop up Card G2 Laser Prime Unreleased Energon Santa Optimus Prime

  3. Started by BaCon,

Yea, its a hard call. But everyone has their ONE, or few. Which is your favorite mold / edition of ALL TIME? Feel free to pontificate on this below... And no, that Gold MP-1 is not my favorite.

  4. Back when Energon was cheap, we could count on leader class figures having some serious weight to them. Today's shot takes a look at one of the bigger and grander toys from the Super Link days of 2004. What fans dubbed "fattimus" Prime for his big body and skinny legs in his powered-down mode. Was more than made up for with his Super Modes combined with the Prime Force attachments from his trailer or in combination with Wing Saber. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  5. Anyone's who checked out the Transformers made in South Korea has found a lot of strange things going on. Even more so than the Chinese, managed to produce some of the oddest spin-offs from Generation 1 and 2 mixing sizes, shapes, and colors. Some of them have become collector's items over the years, such as the 1997 Korean Oversized Generation II Optimus Prime that we've got a shot of today. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  6. Many don't know that I have one of the largest Optimus Prime collections in the World with 1000s of toys and ephemera items spanning from Takara's Diaclone up to the latest Hasbro Earthrise releases. I have been wanting to show this stuff for years. So here goes, my first attempt at sharing the plethora of Prime goodies I have collected over the decades. 7. Started by BaCon,

Sometimes, things go so wrong they create something so totally new and outrageous. Collectors like me, just gotta have them for the cultural insignificance they offer in the form of humor. When it comes to Transformers Knockoffs, the Optimus Prime character probably gets the most abuse of them all. Especially since the 2007 Movie. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  8. Today's Prime shot is focused squarely on the post-G1 series confections from 2007 with gummy versions of the Cybertron / Galaxy Force, and 2007 Movie Protoform Optimus Prime. Sold as part of the Transformers 2007 licensing blitz by Cap Candy, these chewy treats represent the sticky side of Transformers collecting. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

  9. Today's Prime shot takes a look at the not-at-all-bendy Optimus Prime from the Armada Happy Meal set. What he lacks in articulation and transformation is nearly made up for by the marvelous clear plastic (crystal) casting, excellent truck mode mostly due to the tires, and a neat arm-swinging gimmick activated by the button on his back. Definitely one of my favorite fast-food Primes for the goodness as much as the badness such as the molded grill on the bottom and comical sculpting of the head and hands. 10. For some of us, there will never be another Optimus Prime to match Takara's Masterpiece MP-1 figure. Many will argue that it is too big, heavy and is difficult to transform. These are all good points, yet it is not what makes this figure good or bad, it is that it set a new and very high standard for what an Optimus Prime toy could be.
