  1. Looks like I'm going to have to look out for the Cosmos and Clampdown preorders. I wonder if Takara will import them directly like they have been doing or maybe try to "fix" Scourge when they release them. Maybe even release a figure for Dia. She's right there driving the Burnout mech. Wait, probably not. Technically Dia has already been released as the wiki is claiming that she's the Nightstick that came with United Artfire. I just still can't believe that Hasbro thought it was a good idea to short pack Cosmos. What were they thinking? If any of them should've been one a case it should've been Blurr. Nobody seems to really like that mold despite it being pretty decent. I don't like it either and much prefer my LG Blurr and Targetmaster. SS86 Blurr is/was clogging shelves because of it and now there's another one on shelves. Just like what happened with Kup. Clampdown selling out was a surprise though. Maybe it sold out because it's the last of the Lambors to get a figure and people just wanted to finish off the set. Or they wanted him for the white hinges so they could put them on Red Alert. Either way, Road Rocket or Burnout should've been the other to be one a case though. I went to a Walmart with three cases opened so that the scalpers could take the Cosmos and Clampdowns and all of the Road Rockets and Burnouts were still there. Someone took a Blurr though. This was quite a few days after they should've first been put on shelves so none of them were moving. Neither were the Beast Wars reissues or the Kingdom exclusives. This was a Walmart that I don't normally go to.
  2. There was supposed to be one more Scramble City style combiner that never got made. It was based on dinosaurs. It had a T-Rex for the body, a pterodactyl and dimetrodon as arms with an ankylosaurus and styracosaurs as legs The retro G1 Fansproject combiner was kind of very loosely based on it. Or at least just the concept of one more combiner in that style and the ankylosaurus. There were also other combiners that didn't get made as well but that was the only Scramble City style. So Hasbro could go back to some of those unused original ideas and make a new combiner out of them. They're described at the bottom of this page: https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Combiner The Autobot counterpart to Devastator is technically Omega Supreme. However that kind of sucks as it means they have to be roughly in scale with each other like I said in my comment. I think Raiden was truly meant to be the rival to Devastator in Diaclone. They were made at the same time and are very similar with both being six member teams that use a lot of kibble. They're rivals in The Headmasters too. Trains vs construction vehicles make a lot of sense. For Predaking his rival is officially Sky Lynx but again, that sucks for the same reasons it sucks for Devastator and Omega Supreme. I know people hate the idea for whatever reason but this is where a Dinobot combiner should be used. They're a team with no rival and there's five of them. Devastator was kind of their rival but not really. So make them combine and they can take on Predaking. Weren't they rivals in the Prime Wars Trilogy? I never watched the shows but I think the bios had them as rivals. And reissuing a character has never stopped Hasbro or Takara from remaking them. Making them has never stopped Hasbro or Takara from remaking them. Ironhide is a very good example of that right now. What about Impactor too? Dude got four figures all from the same base mold in the same base colors. That was entirely uncalled for. G1 Arcee is another one. Platinum edition T30 Arcee wasn't that long ago then we got Earthrise/Kingdom Arcee and now SS86 Arcee. As for anything not appealing to an audience, that's not really the problem. Hasbro still insists that the fans are a small part of the sales. So all Hasbro would need to do is just to market them correctly. If they go back and use an "obscure" combiner then make sure to put it in some current media that they're trying to push. Be it the comics or one of the new shows. As it is, all combiners for the most part are "obscure" as they're not really pushed or featured heavily. People are currently loving Cybertron Metroplex so "obscure" is in right now. Hasbro is officially going "obscure" with Legacy for the future too. So now's as good a time as any.
  3. How was Devastator not on the list? Well. I guess it's because then you'd also have to remake Omega Supreme to be smaller as well to scale with him. Whereas Predaking is too tall to scale with Sky Lynx. Or is Sky Lynx too small to scale With Predaking? I would've loved it if each piece of Sky Lynx were their own commander class toy if they didn't want to use the titan class for the year on him. Commander really should be twice a year anyway. But I guess in the current market too many people would complain. So I might just have to change my vote from "other" to something else now. I could always go for another Computron but I think it should probably be Predaking so that again, he scales better with the rest. Devastator can stay as a titan if only for Omega Supreme but to me it never made any sense for Predaking at all. Sure the original toys were larger but the animation model wasn't any bigger than the rest. If size of the original toys were the reason then Devastator should've been the smallest combiner. Shame there wasn't ever an undersized Predaking like there was with Devastator. Although, I'd much rather see Rail Racer, Landfill, Magnaboss, Tripredacus, Road Caesar, Landcross, Monstructor/Dinoking, Puzzler, Monstrous or even Magmatron instead. Liokaiser at least had something in CW and Raiden has the "MP" currently.
  4. Well well. Crankcase has his shoulder cannons. That was a nice surprise. Hopefully Megatron is mistransformed as well. They haven't shown him off yet.
  5. Crankcase is hilarious. It's so awful and awesome at the same time. The entire front of the vehicle comes off, turns sideways, has a little piece flip around and becomes a gun. Ever since we first seen pictures of him I was wondering what they were doing with the front of his vehicle/chest. I never would've expected that though. It sure is a different design choice that's for sure. I can't wait for the upgrade kit to give him his shoulder cannons. I wonder how those will be implemented. I hope at least better than SS86 Jazz's shoulder cannon. Dead End is what it is still. Nothing to really talk about. I still don't like how Hasbro makes the lower legs longer than the upper legs for Transformers constantly though. Many of their designs would work better with longer upper legs like Dead End. Pointblank looks good. I understand the hate some have but I don't have that same hate. I just hate the Targetmaster still. We just had better ones that they're still using. Did it really cost that much to add one in at this point? Sure it's double the parts count and isn't gangmolded but still, it's not like Pointblank himself is all that complicated to begin with and the Battlemasters have long since made their money back with using those molds. They could've moved him into a wave with reissues or slight retools to eat some of the cost for that wave too instead of having it a wave with major retools and new molds entirely. Again, I can't wait to see the upgrade kit to give him that engine block spoiler gun thing to finish off the center rear of the vehicle mode. Hopefully they'll remember to put a 5mm port in the middle of it for a Targetmaster. Yeah Peacemaker already fills that spot but we all know that someone is going to make that piece to fit there. Skullgrin looks good but I don't like it as Skullgrin. I still think the original Generations Skullgrin is better overall. I do like all the weapons on this new one though. I'm just a little confused about what the vehicle mode is really supposed to be. It has treads in the back but nothing in the front. Is it a tank? Is it a half-track? Is it a hover tank? What is it? That head is awesome though and beats the older head by quite a bit. Transmetal II Megatron. Transmetal II Megatron. Wow. I just hope that the dragon neck/upper chest area is mistransformed. Or that something can be done. That was very much a bad choice if that's indeed all it can be. I can't wait to have to tighten up all those ball joints to get everything just like I want. Cryotek is the obvious redeco but I want one more other than him. I seen a digibash of him as RiD 2001 Megatron/Gigatron and while it looks good, I don't want that. I'd much rather have this redone as Beast Wars II Galvatron. It's not like the drill tank was all that much better than TMII Megatron's dragster so it's easy to leave out. Once you take out the drill tank, the dragons don't look too dissimilar to each other at that point. Yeah Galvatron didn't have a dragon arm but I'll take what I can get when it comes to a new toy for him.
  6. I know he's not going to read this most likely but you're not supposed to be able to separate the car mode easily you twit. It's only supposed to happen when you plug it onto the Menasor frame. That's like complaining about a Powermaster not being able to easily transform if you don't have the engine in it. It's the whole point. And the people who say that Hasbro is coping third party figures. Are you serious? Hasbro is just copying the cartoon designs. Designs that they own. Which is what the third party were copying. CW Menasor was trying to emulate the toys more than anything with the scramble aspect. They were also trying to make Menasor's design work more like the rest of the Scramble City style combiners. It's just that how can they be copying something that they came up with first? And that Crasher still sucks. It should've been a retool of Dragstrip instead of just a redeco of Mirage with the other Mirage's spare head. Slicks should be the redeco of Mirage if you want to do a Gobot from him due to the similar parts layouts. Dragstrip when done right will always look more like Crasher as they have similar parts layouts. Even G1 Dragstrip looks like G1 Crasher. The front goes behind the head on both but in slightly different ways. Even still, you can make that same piece look like Crasher's.
  7. Indeed. The Vector Prime mold has always been painted well with all of it's details. And even with the prices starting to drop, Botcon Vector Prime is still quite a bit more than I'd ever be willing to pay for it. Thankfully I don't need to collect like that. Collecting can be expensive enough as it is.
  8. I do really want that Alpha Trion. Shame it's so expensive now. However, I did manage to get that Leo Prime as well as Alpha Trizer for cheap though. Vector Prime deserves an update. I hope he gets one by the end of Legacy. A leader class figure at that. And make Safeguard better than Peacemaker with that extra budget.
  9. He definitely has an early prototype. But he just keeps going on as if this is 100% what we're going to get. How does he know? It's a factory test shot that was smuggled out of the factory before it was finished or had all of its accessories. It wouldn't be the first time he showed off things that were wrong. Wasn't Hubcap supposed to come with the small round silver cannon piece from Brunt? I mean, that's what his had right? Several of his were also missing stuff outright. So who is he trying to fool? We all know these are "stolen" copies. Yeah he might have purchased them which to him makes them legit but they were stolen nonetheless. Therefore you do did not get it legitimately. Just ask any Pawn show owner who purchased items they didn't know were stolen. I'm not trying to argue this point though, just that nothing about his copy means that it's what we should expect at retail. I think that the colors will be more uniform at retail. Or at least, from one piece to the other as seen on the roof that he pointed out. I also think that maybe they ran or assembled pieces from both tooling for this and that's why there's the two tabs on top of the van. Those might be pieces from the Ratchet version and were never meant for Ironhide. Also there's no way they can't or won't budget in the yellow stripe. If they managed to sell Earthrise Ironhide at deluxe then they can budget in that yellow stripe for SS86 Ironhide and maybe even another gun. But really though, Earthrise Ironhide himself should be a voyager due to that added roof. Siege Ironhide was large for a deluxe even if it was stretched out like Impactor was but then they put in the roof piece which added another 7 parts at least to the total as well as the additional paint that was required. Man that pelvic flap is a let down though. I will be modding mine to be separate pieces. There's more than enough connection parts to allow for that. I cut off the hood and the bumper piece from my Earthrise Arcee so cutting that skirt plate into three won't be much trouble. Just need a fresh single edged straight razor.
  10. Yeah it could be either of the BW Prowls but I like to go with what might be the least wanted or most obscure out of all possibilities lol. I wouldn't mind some sort of Cheetor retool into Prowl/Lio Junior though. And I would absolutely LOVE a new mold for PrOWL. One where the wings can stay in front like the toy as well as go above the shoulders like the artwork. And yeah, Rhinox is just begging to be retooled into Ironhide/Santon...and Bonecrusher...and Torca...and Polar Claw...and Transmetal/Armada Rhinox. Ironhide and Torca can reuse parts as one is a full elephant and the other half elephant. The parts for Torca to split the beast head into shoulder panels can be reused for Armada Rhinox. Bonecrusher and Polar Claw can reuse parts as they're both hairy animals. With the way Kingdom Rhinox's shoulders work, you can definitely get Polar Claw's transformation with the robot arms going under the belly as well as using the beast legs as the over the shoulder weapons like the original toy. Go grab you Rhinox right now and move the robot arms behind him and above his shoulders. It's perfect. Since the shoulder "butterfly" joint is there you just need to put another armature on the first one for the regular arms in the shape of an "L". This way both the front beast legs and the robot arms will always be 90 degrees away from each other allowing for both the robot mode look and the beast mode look. It could work. I just really want a new Polar Claw. It sucks that his new mold was cancelled. If it was supposed to be a new mold and not a Rhinox retool to begin with that is. Then after that is B'Boom from Optimus Primal, Transquitto from Inferno and a bunch from Tarantulas like Insecticon, Powerpinch, Beetle, Drillbit. Maybe reshell Rattrap into almost every other four legged original BW basic toy as they all have almost the same transformation and parts layout. Snarl, Snapper, Razorbeast and so on all do the same thing as Rattrap for the most part.
  11. Indeed. Animated Prowl seems to be the one people are thinking of the most. While I do like Legacy Arcee, with the way they messed up the leg wheels, I don't know if I want them to do another take on Animated Prowl. If they do, they should only update the look and articulation and keep the entire transformation the same. That was one amazing figure. Even the legends class was good too. It's just so odd that there's no further descriptor for that listing. They did the same for Shadow Striker and Hot Shot too I think. People are just assuming Cyberverse Shadow Striker as she's the most well known at the moment and Armada Hot Shot as again, he's the most well known. I jokingly said that it was going to be RotF Shadow Striker (the black and red Universe 2.0 legends Wheelie redeco) using some mold I haven't thought of and Hot Shot was going to be RID 2001 Spychanger Hot Shot/Car Robots Artfire using Siege/Kingdom Sideswipe. So in the same vein, this is going to be either Machine Wars Prowl or Energon Prowl (either color) using Kingdom Mirage. Oh but wait, it won't be Energon Prowl as they acknowledged the Powerlinx gimmick and them maybe wanting to try that. So it will be Machine Wars Prowl. Maybe they can retool Siege Sideswipe instead of using Siege Mirage or the crappy Kingdom Mirage retool. Then they could redeco that into RiD2001 Mirage lol. It's just so difficult to tell what they're going to do now and I love it. They've been making some random characters lately so I'm not going to put anything past them anymore.
  12. Core class: Nemesis Prime is what it is. Bombburst is interesting. Given that his alt mode is a jet, it's not going to be a retool of Iguanus. Or at least, not an obvious retool of him. I take it that he's also going to have his shell as his robot mode just like Iguanus and Skullgrin. I wonder what is the offical rational behind some Pretenders being core, some deluxe and others voyagers is. I really hope one of the good KO companies makes some oversized versions of the core and maybe deluxe Pretenders to be the same size roughly as Bludgeon and Metalhawk. Skar is most likely the IDW Dynobot and not the G1 Powermaster. However with the way Hasbro is making characters lately, I wouldn't put it past them to release Skar as a core class like they're doing with Rumble in Studio Series. It would just make more sense with Skar being the Dynobot and not the Powermaster based on the rest of the core class offerings. Grimlock, Swoop and Snarl. I already said I'd be down for them so nothing has changed. Last time though, we didn't really know that Hasbro was going to go a little more crazy with their releases. So knowing what we all know now, this makes so much more sense than it did with core Grimlock was first leaked. If they keep the transformations standard G1 toy style then these can easily be made and still be very good. There's currently a small debate on one of the other TF sites over core class. I just think they're cool. There's room for small scale and normal scale figures on shelves. Deluxes: Crosscut is what it is. Shrapnel. Finally! Hopefully they finish all three quicker than they did previously. All three of the legends class figures are so very obviously designed with much different budgets and design philosophies in mind. Bombshell will be leaked soon enough I would imagine though. I just hope they don't mess this up. I would also like it for the eventual Chopshop that's made from Shrapnel to maybe be a little more retooled than Ransack is from Kickback. It's awesome to get the Deluxe Insecticons, but at least maybe try to make them look at least a little more like the originals. I know they don't have the rights to those molds which could lead to some problems but they should be able to do more than just a new robot head. Junkion 2. This is still confusing. Are these just smaller motorcycle Junkions? Are these other Junkion characters like Detritus? Are these the female characters like Nancy? It doesn't really matter I guess as they're troopbuilders or rather, can be if you want and with the many upgrade kits that will follow. Still pretty cool though regardless of what they end up being. Prowl. Well that's good for those of you who didn't manage to get the exclusive. I really hope that it's just a package refresh and this early listing just doesn't say that. I would hate buying all the Datsuns again in a new mold. The Earthrise mold is just fine for now and doesn't need updating like Ironhide does. Voyagers: Nemesis Leo. Well I joked last time with the Leo Prime leak that all they really have to work with as far as reuses would be the black version, the purple version and the sparkly gold with white version. But now that we know that MP Dark Amber Lio Convoy is a thing, this Nemesis Leo makes sense. Another to go with my growing army for Galvatron now that the Prime Wars Trilogy cartoon made Nemesis Prime one of Unicron's minions. That along with Rodimus Unicronus as well from PotP. Nemesis Primal is with them too. I'm actually deciding what figures go with them right now. I picked Galactic Man Shockwave due to colors, Siege Skywarp (based on Universe Skywarp being a minion), Hotlink due to colors, G2 Ramjet due to colors and 2007 Incinerator due to colors and because I just got one and he was within grabbing distance at the time. I'm also thinking about using Target exclusive toy colors Dinobot as Dinomus by getting the upgrade kit and putting it on him as another minion as well. Maybe I'll do the same with toy colors Blackarachnia using her as Darkarachnia. Another voyager Junkion? Okay sure. Maybe Scrapheap this time? He's the only other one who's ever been made before. He'll go great with Junkyard/heap and Wreck-Gar and all of the as of yet unknown deluxe Junkions. Ramjet package refresh is what it is. I already have him though. I think the only figure I missed so far was Buzzworthy Cliffjumper but at least I have Siege Cliffjumper. Not having Buzzworthy CJ only really messes with my custom red Bumblebee I wanted to make. Assuming they don't get around to that themselves at some point. Bludgeon I mentioned a bit with Bombburst. Sounds good. It would probably look like the RotF Bludgeon figure though. Shell as the robot mode and tank as the alt mode. That's a good figure but it's time for an upgrade. I also have CW Bludgeon as well but since he's modeled after the inner robot for his robot mode, he can stay. He's also a combiner so he can stay just because of that. He's also very expensive and I'd rather not sell him if I don't really need the money. How strange, I literally just typed something similar on TJOmega's latest video after hearing how much Thunder Mayhem is selling for lately. I don't want to sell mine but it's nice to know I can get like 2k for it if I did. Oh wait, that listing also came with Bluestreak and Impactor too. So Thunder Mayhem and 2/5 of Wreckage. Or is it 2/7 of Wreckage as Alpha Bravo and Offroad also count for that combiner. Regardless, it's nice to know I have backup money just in case. I wonder why no leaders in this leak.
  13. So Targetmasters are going back to being G1 style bricks I see. This is what I feared when I first read that Pointblank and Peacemaker were packaged together. It's just a shame that the two red chested Battlemaster guns are both exclusives. I have both but it's going to be pricey to get more to keep Peacemaker and any potential Spoilsport looking like Pinpointer. Even still, there's no red limbs so you can't even mix and match them to look right like Firebolt, Fracas, Nightstick, Hairsplitter, Singe, Aimless, Caliburst and Blowpipe. You can even make a Haywire and Recoil by doing this. I have the Takara Targetmasters from Legends so I think I'm going to have to stick with those for Crosshairs, Pointblank and any potential Sureshot as I am with Misfire, Slugslinger and Triggerhappy instead of using the Battlemasters. It's just a shame they never did Fracas and Nightstick to make all the original Targetmasters match. I guess it wasn't just the Micromasters but also the Battlemaster that supposedly didn't sell well. I mean, it's not like they're doing anything with that price point in Legacy so they could've continued it onward. Then again, they didn't use it for Kingdom either. It's such a shame. I love those little guys. I bought extras so I could parts swap more accurate versions and making new figures from the leftover parts. One day we'll get all the Targetmasters from a single style again. Or at the very least, two styles. One for the original Targetmasters and the other for the Double Targetmasters. Classics 2.0 Targetmaster. Only one mold with a ton of redecos. With only one mold, obviously not a complete set. Generations Thrilling 30 Double Targetmaster. Two molds with only four redecos of one and five of the other. Not a complete set of Double Targetmasters. Takara Legends Targetmaster. Nine mostly unique molds. Only two short from a complete set of original Targetmasters. Or four if you count Artfire and Stepper but they just use the missing two anyway without any deco changes. If only Takara did more of their own Generations Selects. They could release Artfire, Cyclonus and/or Scourge as Targetmasters with their unique molds and release a Stepper using SS86 Jazz as one as well. I'll go back in on those characters for the Targetmasters. Siege Battlemaster. Two unique molds and one retool with a ton of redecos but not a complete set of any. Legacy Targetmaster. Only one so far.
  14. I was in Port Charlotte today for work so I decided to check out the Target and Walmart on US 41 to see if they had anything new as these are about 45 minutes from my area. Luckily they're right across the street form each other. Walmart was stocked. However, it was old stock. It was just surprising to see so much stuff on the shelves of a store. I haven't seen any shelves that stocked in quite a while. They had RED Primal, Starscream and Knockout. I picked up a Knockout. His head is laughably small for the rest of him by the way. They also had a school of Cybershark on the pegs and shelves. I picked one up as mine is missing the side fins and it's just cheaper to buy a new one than to buy the pieces. The only reissue I've picked up too. Both were on sale for $19 each. They had a Cyclonus' armada worth of Sweeps there...which should mean there were none now that I think about that but that's not how I meant that as there were a bunch of them. Some leaders were around as well like Starscream and Galvatron. I didn't look if anyone else were there as I don't need any leaders right now. The deluxes and corres were just same old stuff. Legacy wave and the Walmart exclusives for deluxe and that one core class SS wave nobody wants and an Iguanus or two. I picked up some Slim Jims as well since my area doesn't seem to have any, at least not the Target or Walmart I normally go to anyway.. Target was disappointing. They're still doing their toy clearance but the signage is under toys that aren't counted. They put a bunch of Lucario above the sale price for Greninja even though there were only Lucario available. They put sale prices under the new Dino Fury Megazords but it's not for them. None of the Gundam or Dragon Ball stuff was still on clearance if it ever was in this store as it didn't look like it. Not that they had a large selection anyway. It was less than half my normal store which is surprising for Port Charlotte as those stores are usually much better. For Transformers I found Buzzworthy toy colors Dinobot and Terrorsaur. I picked them up because I was there but they're not hard to find. They still had a bunch of Kup. And while I still want one, I'm not paying full price for it after having paid full price for the shitty SS86 version. Yeah I could just be one of those assholes and swap the figures but I don't feel like it. Still haven't found Cliffjumper. Not that I need a CJ but because I want one and then I'll use the Siege version as a custom red Bumblebee. But I can't do that if I can't find a Buzzworthy CJ. I just want one you fucking shitty scalper scumbags. The rest of the Transformers offering were very lackluster. The same shit as Walmart but a lot less of it. I did see a Wreck Gar though and it's full price so I put it back. Not a single Creatures Collide box set though. I didn't have the code for it on hand for someone to check the back, not that I couldn't have looked it up though. I just don't like doing things like that. I hate talking to people in real life which is surprising given my long winded comments but I just like to tell stories I guess as my fingers sometimes just go off on their own on a keyboard. So anyway I don't like talking to people so I hate asking employees to check the back just for some fucking toys. I don't think this set will be difficult to find though as it doesn't have Horribull or Squeezeplay in it. Long story short: I did not find any at the one Walmart I checked today. Target didn't have any of the more interesting Buzzworthy sets either.
  15. Tell me you don't know anything about Transformers without telling me you don't know anything about Transformers. I get that not everyone knows that Cybertron exists but if you're going to tout that you have the world's first unboxing of something then you should maybe research what you're showcasing. I don't like this channel whatsoever and this is only the second video I've watched. Metroplex looks great though. I love how his WORK mode actually looks like, and does, something now. I hope they do Menasor soon. It's on their minds luckily. I don't think it will be next year though to allow for any Menasor confusion to subside first. Not that Hasbro releases titan counterparts consecutively anyway though.
  16. Just got the email for Impactor and Spindle saying the 27th. I bet Leadfoot and Masterdominus will be then as well. Not cancelling them though. I got quite a bit of extra money to play with since I last commented. But since it looks like Springer and Bulkhead aren't selling out anytime soon, I might just wait for a drop in price to get them now. I should pick up Twintwist though as I think that one might sell out at some point.
  17. Orion Pax is alright. I'm not really a fan of the SS86 Kup mold though. At least I still have the PotP version for evolution gimmick, TR version for a big beefy boi and the T30 for his own unique mold that still holds up even by today's standards. Alpha Trion looks good if a bit obvious. If Jhiaxus wasn't going to be his own mold or made from Armada Starscream again, I would've wanted him to be made from Scourge. I think it would've worked out fairly well with some retooling of the wings/shell. Crankcase looks good. I like the different shoulders. I can't wait to see the shoulder cannon upgrade kits that get made for him. Dead End looks...odd. Those lower leg proportions look weird. They remind me of the legs on Cyberverse warrior Dead End. Just too long when you factor in how the feet work. At least they work better than the CW mold's legs if they can't look better. Skullgrin is okay. It looks like they merged the inner robot with the outer shell as it has aspects of both in the robot mode. I just wish he was purple like the G1 and PotP versions and not the dark red again like the Generations version. I still think it's going to be difficult to beat that older Generations version though. Well, now I see how Pointblank comes with Peacemaker. He's not very complicated and doesn't have a high parts count. It's just annoying that we're getting a Pointblank that looks the way it does yet the Velocitron Blurr wasn't Armada or at least Cybertron Blurr based on Pointblank instead of IDW Blurr based on SS86 Blurr. As with SS86 Kup, I just don't like SS86 Blurr and much prefer the Takara Legends versions regardless of the lack of ankle articulation or screen accuracy. It looks like Pointblank can easily have a second robot mode by flipping around the torso. If not Armada/Cybertron Blurr then maybe into Punch/Counterpunch or Drift? It shouldn't be too difficult to change the way the shoulders work to point the kibble in different directions for each of the different characters. With it having so few parts and with a Targetmaster that can be excluded, it should be easy to budget in retools with this mold. Hell, Blurr can even come with a Minicon instead of the Targetmaster at that point too. We've already seen both Inferno and Starscream. They still look good. Antagony is obviously going to happen but I'd also like to see a retool into Transquito. It shouldn't be too difficult. I want all the Starscream redecos and retools as well including another Jhiaxus. Megatron. That looks really good. I have Jiang Xing's TMII Megatron and I still think this one looks amazing. It's such a lean and clean robot mode. I can't wait for Cryotek as that mold is going to pop in blue.
  18. How are they getting six steps for Terrorsaur? It's a one step transformation. Or at least going by the amount of steps required to do some of their "one step" Transformers from the past few years like Scorn and Sky-Bite. So when it's the one step line then they ignore the actual extra steps required to go from one form to the other but when it's quite literally one step to go from one form to the other they count out all the fiddling you need to do afterwards? I mean, they did that for Rattrap too but I still find it funny that several Transformers released in the one step lines have more steps than the spring loaded basic figures from Beast and Machine Wars.
  19. And sorry for double posting but I just thought of something else. You can get a really good Slicks just from using parts from Velocitron Crasher (if this is what we're getting) and the Wreckers Leadfoot. I think I'm going to do just that. I like to have extra Weaponizers/Modulators/Fossilizers, three of each actually. But with the Amazon Wreckers, the Fossilizers come with Impactor and Leadfoot. I didn't know what I would do with extras of those two but now I have another idea for Leadfoot with the first being repainting/paint stripping one into Slapdash as he's also yellow and blue. Impactor is going to suck getting extras of though. Even with the retooled parts, it's the fourth Impactor colored Impactor that's been released using that mold. People are going to be sick of it and it might not be easy to offload two Impactors when the market is currently flooded with him.
  20. Yes for Wreck-Gar as Cy-Kill. No to the rest. For Cy-Kill, unless we get a new Animated Oil Slick mold for the domed head look in the front of the vehicle mode, Wreck-Gar is about the best we can hope for. It can be retooled enough to easily get the point across as several different third party designs already show. Starscream would make for a horrible Leader 1. It would just be a bald, colorless Starscream. If they could pull off something like they did for Universe 2.0 Sideswipe and Sunstreaker though then that would work. However the Earthrise seeker mold would need a major overhaul. And honestly, that mold isn't all that good anyway. It has almost all the same issues the Classics mold had as they stuck too much to that design. Fitor from Starscream though would work. Prime Arcee doesn't look anything like Scooter. At that point you might as well use Iguanus as it's just a motorcycle for the sake of a different style motorcycle...or well, scooter. Same for Coptur from Spinster. There's nothing similar. It's just a helicopter for the sake of a helicopter. In both Scooter's and Coptur's cases though, there might never be any better options as they're both kind of unique in their simplicity and no other Transformers characters would really match easily. Smallfoot should be the built in new head retool for RID 2015 Strongarm. They just need to make a new version of her first. Beachcomber wouldn't really work though. He's a dune buggy and Smallfoot is a pickup. If we get a new Gears then maybe since there's at least some basis for that already. Turbo should come from Dragstrip. The way the front of the car can turn to the sides on the shoulders of the robot mode looks just like Turbo. The dome-like cockpit area of Turbo can easily be replicated from the rounded cockpit of Dragstrip too. Crasher would also be done from Dragstrip. Just retool it to put the front of the car behind the head. The rest of the contours of the vehicle already work for Crasher like again, the rounded cockpit area. It makes more sense than Kingdom Mirage. Even Siege Mirage would've made more sense. Kingdom Mirage kinda sucks and it's only about half different from Siege Mirage. It's just that the half they reworked turned out worse than the original in execution. Slicks would work easily from Mirage though. Cosmos can be turned into Pathfinder. Not ideal but there's a basis for it already. To better go for the original look though, maybe Origin's Bumblebee. The original design concept for Cosmos was based on that toy and could still work for Pathfinder if they ever wanted to go back to it. Jeeper Creeper is another one like Scooter and Coptur and we may just have to settle for something that isn't even close like Siege Hound. Then again, it would just be Siege Hound with a different head as the colors aren't very different. Tank maybe from Fasttrack. Tank is another that's so simple that it's absurd. Fasttrack though at least looks kind of similar if you squint and use some imagination on top of any retooling. Parts at least kind of go in the same place for the alt mode. You can also still plug in some guns into the bottom front of the vehicle mode by lifting up the feet. Loco from Fasttrack? It would be easier to just say Astrotrain but another retool of Fasttrack could work. Both Loco and Tank transform the same way so it could work with that retooling. Sky Jack can be made from Maverick. I doubt they can use that mold like that as it's officially licenced but it would be perfect. They're reissuing Maverick so all that it would need is a slightly darker, shinier paint job. An easy custom actually. Honestly, Maverick might work for Leader-1 too. At least it would be better than Earthrise Starscream. Still wouldn't look very accurate though. Major Mo can use Sideswipe. It would just need a reshell to look like Prowl lol. Spay-C from Galaxy Shuttle and/or Armada Jetfire. This all needs to happen. Commander class at least. I guess Spay-C could be a heavy retool of the Earthrise seeker though. But at that point, you're really only using the transformation joints, maybe arms and upper legs. Astrotrain could work too but I didn't want to waste an alt mode unless they retooled it enough to take the train mostly out. But then it would really be stuck between size classes if you take away the tender. Dumper and Fly-Trap from Bulkhead. Scratch and Vanguard from Ironhide or Trailbreaker. In general, I'd rather some of the more major characters from the Go-Bots be as accurate as possible and the lesser characters can just take whichever mold makes most sense. Sorry, I just love speculating things like this.
  21. Just got the email for Springer too and again, had to cancel.
  22. I got the email saying that Bulkhead and Twintwist would ship to me by July 20. I haven't gotten one for Springer yet. Problem is that They're not budgeted into this month and I had to cancel them. Good job Amazon. You can't just push three items up to ship out at the same time with only a day's notice to cancel them before they are charged and shipped. If they had staggered them and had one this upcoming week, then one a week or two later and then another a week or two after that then fine. Just not two or three at once.
  23. I'm down for Skullgrin. I wonder what design they're going to go with him though. Iguanus went for shell for the robot mode and then the inner robot's vehicle mode. If they do the same here then it's going to not look much different than the old Generations deluxe. And out of all the older figures, that's one that's actually going to be difficult to be better than. It has more articulation than most third party figures. The hands and wrists alone make that mold amazing. It has wrist swivels, it has natural looking opening hands that actually hold weapons without dropping them without having to be designed like Siege Jetfire's hands and to top it all off, the wrist ball pegs allow for not only inward motion to hold the pickax with both hands but it has downward motion so he can point the pickax forward. Ninety degree elbow bends as well as a secondary elbow bend inward that actually looks natural to hold his pickax like He-Man or Lion-O hold their swords up in the air. Bicep swivels. Ball jointed shoulder which honestly can be designed a bit better as the cuts are at odd angles. Inner shoulder movement that almost acts like butterfly joints. Ball jointed neck that allows for a good range on the head. Waist swivel. Ball jointed hips. Thigh swivels. Deep knee bends. Ball jointed ankles allowing the foot to go forward and back as well as have some very nice ankle pivots. The only thing it really doesn't have is ankle rotation but most Transformers don't do that anyway. I'm still looking forward to a new Skullgrin though. I'm just reminding people how good that old mold was. At least with Straxus, the rumor (which might be untrue) is that he's going to be a leader class figure and possibly based on Galvatron which would more than make up for not being as good as the Generations deluxe. It's just a deluxe to a deluxe is going to draw a lot more comparisons especially if they do the shell for the robot mode again. Dead End is Dead End. Pointblank worries me as it's coming with Peacemaker. Unless they somehow pull a Kingdom/Legacy Blaster and Eject and have an amazing figure that still comes with a partner without having to sacrifice anything that is. I doubt that at the deluxe size though. I can see it happening if it's going to be a retool of an existing mold to free up some of the budget for the Targetmaster. Oh wait, the Targetmaster could use one of the Battlemaster designs and not new so that will help to keep costs low. I'm still worried about this though. Not that it matters to me about Peacemaker, I have the Takara Legends Targetmaster for him anyway. It's just Pointblank that worries me. Crosshairs kind of worked as just being a head swap of Siege Ironhide but I don't see anything working for Pointblank except for like maybe Punch/Counterpunch. But it would still need an extensive retool to pull it off. On a side note, I got the Crosshairs upgrade kit that has the transforming wheels that plug into the back and has the wheels swing to the back in robot mode. It's pretty good. The transformation hinge for the wheels were a little loose though. Nothing some Kiki joint tightener didn't fix.
  24. I'd rather this be video game tie in toys and not more Netflix show tie ins. But ultimately I'd rather see figures made from the Predacons Rising movie than anything else. I'd also like some from Beast Wars II: Lio Convoy's Close Call! as well. The Beast Wars II movie would be how we get Burning Convoy and Flash Lio Convoy decos lol. But most importantly, it will give us Galvatron Tripledacus and Magnaboss!!! Preacons Rising will give us Predaking, Skylynx and Darksteel. Maybe even Prime Megatron and Starscream that aren't G1ified like Knockout, Arcee and Bulkhead.
  25. Looks fine to me. It wouldn't be the first Laserbeak figure made from a pink colored Bumblebee that we got. And since he wasn't the same size as Bumblebee while looking like him, core class makes sense instead of a deluxe. The box art matches up with the scene it happened in too. Granted that the other core class SS figures don't have THAT large a background as the character art is featured more prominently. Maybe it's the art that will indeed be on the box but photo shopped and sized incorrectly. Assuming that the figure is actually coming out that is. So if this is true then it's another core class meant to scale with the larger figures like Spike and Ravage do. Obviously the Bumblebee made from this will scale with the other core class figures like Shockwave and Ratchet. I think it's kind of brilliant. One mold can be two characters for two different scales.
