Transformers Legacy Evolution G2 Grimlock & Autobot Jazz, Toxitron, More Reveals!
I hate the Kingdom Mirage mold so much and these pictures show why. The lost shoulder cannon functionality. I also have issues with the way the alt mode comes together now too and the lack of 5mm port options compared to the Siege version. They went out of their way to give Jazz the new guns from BBSS86 Hound (who isn't even out yet still) to not only give him his shoulder cannon but to also make it so that it can be positioned "properly". Why not either do the same for Mirage or just give him the better tooling. I guess I'm just going to have to hope that the 5mm ports on the back and the backs of the shoulders are actually 5mm on mine as they're like 5.2mm on my copy of mirage and I can't plug anything into them even when trying to tighten them up. They're just a little too big for that. Or just get some 3d printed part again. I'll make mine a Decepticon though. The 'con need more troops, more deluxes and more cars and this fills out all three. I might make Jazz a 'con too. It's just a shame that they're not making the unnamed Diaclone decos into more 'cons. Breaker and Guard could both have been 'cons along with Loudpedal...who needs to be made in general. I have extra sigils though and can do it myself but it's just a bit annoying. I also plan on making blue Hoist and red Trailbreaker so maybe they'll be cons to go against Breaker and Lift-Ticket.

Transformers Legacy Evolution Leader Prime Universe Dreadwing News & Discussion Topic
I love that shade of blue. It reminds me of the one used for Takara Adventure (Beast Hunters) Dreadwing. It's such a shame that they didn't think to engineer this mold to have a "backward" robot transformation in mind. Sort of like Universe 2.0 Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. It's so close but it just doesn't work completely. The torso doesn't look quite right when you do it either as the pelvis sits too far back from the cockpit "chest". And while it can sort of turn into plane mode even with the arms switched, they stick out awkwardly on the bottom but it can still sit on the landing gear. The shoulder pads don't quite work right when the arms are moving "forwards" too. The mold overall doesn't seem to quite fill out the price point design or parts count wise. It just doesn't quite feel full leader class by today's standards. I feel as though there was enough in the budget to fully realize a reverse robot mode it if they wanted to. Especially since there's quite a bit of reuse with this mold between the standard "G1" transformation and what would be the "Prime" transformation. Skyquake, Dreadwing, Botcon Machine Wars Megaplex and even a Botcon style Machine Wars Megatron all from the "Prime" Transformation. Then G1 Skyquake, Machine Wars Starscream and Universe King Atlas from the "G1" style Transformation. That's seven total possible reuses that could've helped to spread the additional costs of a little extra tooling to. And since i'm a crazy person, I'd even go for a Beast Hunters retool from it too to make both Hasbro and Takara colors as well as Beast Wars Uprising Windrazor. Not that Windrazor would need that figure since we're getting a new BW Silverbolt in Legacy at some point and he's one of only two redecos for that mold and the only one that isn't just Silverbolt himself but in another color. And since they made Sandstorm, they'll make Windrazor. It would only be new wings, feet and weapons though. Maybe a new head not that it's needed as the stock head of Legacy Skyquake/Dreadwing already looks almost exactly like the BW Dreadwing head anyway.

Transformers Studio Series 1986 Anime Deco Prowl News & Discussion Topic
That face sculpt though. Whoever designed it needs to work on Marvel Legends. It is spot on. I just wish the versions without the translucent plastic weren't so difficult to get like Cliffjumper (who I still don't have) or have battle damage like Prowl here. Yet poor Kup was way too overproduced for some reason. Cliffjumper should've been the one to get more in each case since the Earthrise version was highly sought after as it was and regular SS Kup was still on shelves at the time. As much as Hasbro likes to point fingers at the retails when it comes to exclusives, this and Cosmos is on them. They created the case assortments and which ones would be shortpacked. So it was them who put Cosmos to one a case and put out two Kups at the same time and made the second release have a higher amount per case. Yes the retailer could order straight cases of a figure but how often do they do that? Rarely ever since they see that they still have stock and don't realize that it's the one's that were shortpacked that are the ones people want as that's not how they view things. I wouldn't mind picking a second Prowl up if it didn't have the battle damage. I'd then turn one (most likely this one) into Iga Prowl. But the battle damage is going to keep me from doing that even though it does look good. Maybe I'll do it anyway.

Transformers Legacy Evolution Bombshell Deluxe News & Discussion Topic
Does anyone else find it kind of funny that they managed to get Bombshell before they got Shrapnel? Thinking about this being a retool more, I wonder if it's less likely that we'll get Venom, Barrage and Chopshop now. We got Ransack because there really isn't anything else to do with Kickback other than Shothole. So since Shrapnel and Bombshell already share parts, does that mean that Hasbro won't do the other deluxe Insecticons due to not needing to since they're partials of each other. Or does this make it more likely? Since they saved money on Shrapnel and Bombshell they can afford to make Venom, Barrage and Chopshop as further retools. At least Venom would need new parts regardless and maybe that's why they're trying to save some money here. Chopshop and Barrage could just be straight new head redecos like Ransack was. I just hope that they don't finish the deluxe Insecticons again or they make the rest but the final three will all have new parts whereas Ransack doesn't. It makes me wish they did that abdomen gun thing instead of the wing swords for Ransack like what was originally planned for the mold. Not that it matters since I have that one upgrade that gives Ransack his shield and a new gun but still, the abdomen gun would've been cool too. A full set of clones/SG Insecticons would be nice too. Maybe even Beet-Chit not that that name would make it to shelves without a change even though it doesn't mean anything bad and only just sounds like it.

Transformers Leaked Listings Rumors News & Discussion Topic
Something seems to be off with your comments on news stories and when people quote you lately. Your comments aren't showing up until you go into the full thread. So maybe something is up with how the site works with admin level accounts but I don't know much about those kind of things. I seen the Primo Mortis post but I didn't click through it as I have that set already. I'll give it a look today. I also have the Seraphicus Prominon figure as well. But for some reason I still haven't had all three of my "Nova Primes" next to each other yet. The most I can do right now until I remember where I put Seraphicus is my custom and Mortis. I know where they both are right now. I never picked up Hypernovae as it was too expensive for what it was. I've been waiting on the oversized knockoff of it from Neoart for years now but I don't think it's going to happen. I didn't get the Botcon figure either. Or at least, I don't think I did. I have Orion and Lio Convoy for sure though.

Transformers Leaked Listings Rumors News & Discussion Topic
Seems I took over this thread with my crappy customs lol. Vector Prime is/was a multiversal singularity. So any Vector Prime released will be the same Vector Prime regardless of anything else. However there's only been one Vector Prime anyway though and that's CyberTRON Vector Prime. Well I guess there's been two if you count PotP Metalhawk since the Primemaster that came with him is Vector Prime. The wiki still has them as being the same Vector Prime though. I was literally just thinking about Vector Prime and how he needs a new figure. We need more big Autobots with flying alt modes and he certainly fits the bill. I wonder what they're going to do with Safeguard? Hasbro claimed they don't want to do Battlemasters and Micromasters anymore as they supposedly didn't sell well. No, the Rise of the Beast ones don't count as they should've been out about two years ago. Those seem to be selling well now though regardless of when they were supposed to be on shelves. So maybe they'll circle back around to them to do the Armada and Cybertron Minicons. Swindle, Leader-1, Sparkplug, Drillbit, Jolt and now Safeguard and Clench all need to be done. And we do need new ones. I dug out Armada Jolt, Universe Jolt and even T30 Blazemaster who has a Jolt variant and none of them work well with Hot Shot. The two Minicon Jolts don't peg onto the Minicon peg in Vehicle mode and the peg isn't accessible in robot mode. Blazemaster can't peg onto the Minicon peg either but can at least become a gun for robot mode. Maybe if the hood or the engine had a 5mm port then Blazemaster could plug in as a gun in vehicle mode. Deluxe Optimus Prime is mildly interesting. We've come a long way from the Classics deluxe Optimus Prime mold so it's bound to be way better than that and thankfully won't have the spinning gimmick. Armada Galvatron is a long time coming. I get the CW mold wasn't amazing for Armada Megatron but I really did want Galvatron too. Now we're getting a proper update and I still kind of want a CW Armada Galvatron lol. I hope they finish the trifecta and do Megazarak too. I'll even take a Lucky Draw redeco. Origin Wheeljack is a VOYAGER. Nice. I hope they keep going with these even though there's technically little to no more they can do. Soundwave and Laserbeak? No not the "hidden" mode of the Siege figure, I mean one that only turns into the "lampost". I would hate that so much as I hate having an alt mode that doesn't move on its own other than for small weapons. Blaster and Netflix Soundwave annoy me but I do own all versions. At least Perceptor has his tank mode thing. If these new "rocks" are indeed Weaponizers, I hope they work better than the Junkions. I hate how the torsos don't do anything. I couldn't care less about having a self contained transformation if it means that you lose functionality of the gimmick. I don't even bother messing with the Junkions the same way I did with the Weaponizers, Modulators and Fossilizers. The names don't seem to line up with any Rock Lords either for the most part. Not that they'd need to change the names since Hasbro owns those. They'd only need to make sure not to have them be accurate to the original toys like Velocitron Crasher. Not that I'd know since I never found one let alone the two I wanted. Maybe these are like Rock Lords though and they're really trying to do new (aka old) things. Just going to have to wait and see in two weeks or so when they start leaking from the factories now that they're showing up again in store listings.

Shadowstriker Revealed In-Hand Images of Transformers Legacy Evolution Figure
What a wildly different reaction to this figure based on the votes here vs the comments on a certain other site. I don't hate it. I don't love it either though. I just feel that this should've been a more vibrant purple at the very least. Or just have been standard OTFCC Shadow Striker colors. I mean of course it's going to get that redeco at some point but it's just a little odd that they'd go with that mold with only the head from Cyberverse to represent Cyberverse Shadow Striker. I guess it makes sense though as who else are they going to get from a mold that's more like Cyberverse Shadow Striker? Prime Vehicons maybe? That's not a bad idea actually. They have similar car modes in any event. Damn, maybe I don't like this for Cyberverse Shadow Striker now or I just want a new Prime Vehicon mold or something lol. I do like the mold otherwise though. And of course it's not going to look like a Dodge Viper. Sure it could be more rounded a design for the car but I think this looks rather good as a very late "G1" style design. Almost like Chromedome in a way. Actually, it looks a bit like a Dodge Charger. Maybe someone on the design team got their Dodge cars mixed up?

Shattered Glass Rodimus News & Discussions Topic
Yeah when I read "Rodimus Unicronus" I expect the counterpart to Rodimus Prime. So a leader class of just the cab part from the commander figure. That figure could probably be released as a leader on it's own. I also like that figure far more than the Hot Rod figure. I just don't want another of that trailer. Not that I hate it or anything as it's a good trailer, it's just that it doesn't really do anything. Ultimately it doesn't really matter though as I'll still use PotP Rodimus Unicronus and Nemesis Prime as my versions. The decepticons got full on upgrades when Unicron got to them but Optimus only got a redeco for the WFC series. That's lame. So in my little world when Unicron got to the Primes, they got powered up "brute" like forms from their trailers due to their connection to the Matrix. Now I just need Hasbro to go back to the PotP Optimal Optimus mold to not only make Primal Prime but to finish the trio with a Nemesis Primal too. Throne of the Primes Optimus Primal could work as a stand in I guess. I could just repaint it myself but I already said how unmotivated I am to do customs anymore. Even one that wouldn't need too much work. Titanium Menasor came out before SG Hot Rod though and was literally meant to be the fractured combiner personality of Menasor but in a single body. Same for Classics Menasor in it was always meant to be Menasor. Only the unreleased Universe Menasor was given the name as the intended name of "Motormaster" wasn't available in 2003 and wasn't for a while after. So those wouldn't count as SG Roddy or Rodimus Unicronus. For that matter, Hot Rod had a black redeco long before SG Hot Rod was a thing. It's just Hot Rod in black.

Transformers Legacy Deluxe Class Beachcomber News & Discussion Topic
The popularity of his channel has nothing to do with the shots he takes. It has to do with the fact that he gets figures early one way or the other. He's literally known as the "kid who buys stolen figures" to just put it in the nicest I've heard/read. I couldn't care less one way or the other about that but it's what quite a large amount of people call him or say about him. Even in his own comments. And I'm not saying static shots are better. I'm saying the composition of his shots suck. They're not well thought out. The blast effects are put out without any reason in places that they shouldn't be in at least not at the size of that large one. The motion being conveyed in the action of the figure on the stand is in direct opposition to the motion that the character should be going in if those blasts were real. They're literally explosions for the sake of explosions. Did Beachcomber shit out that giant explosion behind him? Otherwise how did it get there? How is Beachcomber still standing there if that went off literally under his leg? This isn't Power Rangers with power runoff as Dr. K said in Power Rangers RPM. What that shot is telling me is that he's getting shot at from the sides yet he's going forward for some reason? Why is he not aimed at the bots shooting at him? What is he even doing? How is he still standing? How is he still in one piece? What about the one where he's jumping forward and there's a giant blast right under him that's so close it's touching him? How did he not just get his legs blown off? This is what I'm saying. It doesn't make any sense. It's taking me out of it with how bad the composition is. But then there's one where Megatron is attacking and the blasts are in the right places and the Bumblebee and Beachcomber are being affected by the blast effects in the correct way. That's a good shot. BB got shot at and rolled over from the force. Beachcomber got shot at but it was further away and so he's up on two wheels dodging the hit. This is good composition and isn't just explosions for the sake of explosions. I'm not saying that every shot has to be a multi figure setup, I'm just saying to make them make sense. Put some logic behind them. Especially if you have as much fun or pride in them as he seems to by doing that with all his figures. Oh and why is the pacifist out there in the war zone anyway? I'm mostly joking with that question. But still, why is the parrot still on his shoulder? Get out of there you dumb bird. Explosions can happen anywhere with no thought.

Transformers Legacy Deluxe Class Beachcomber News & Discussion Topic
Can someone please tell that kid that his shots with those blast effects are and have always been horrible. The composition is bad. Nothing about the layout makes sense. The shots don't looks dynamic. There isn't anything good from his setup yet he uses the exact same one for every single figure. They don't highlight or showcase anything in a meaningful or exciting way. Just so boring and lame.

Transformers Leaked Listings Rumors News & Discussion Topic
Nova is pretty self explanatory color wise. White is white. Black is black. Grey is grey. Gold is gold. I changed the tint of the windows by painting the inside of it gold. It gives the bluish plastic a greenish tint now. Brimstone is fairly self explanatory as well. The yellow is Testors flat Sunflower if I recall correctly. The purple is the same mix I used for Toxitron I think. The chest was also mixed and it ended up being a lighter shade than I wanted. It looks more "fleshy" than I would've liked but it's okay. As for Toxitron, I couldn't find a good purple so I spend quite a while making my own. It works fairly well. The greenish color is Testors flat enamel "Zinc Chromate". I used it straight as I thought it was pretty toxic looking. I also didn't want to go bright either as I wanted it to be different to my CW Toxitron. I went with a darker grey for quite a bit of the figure as well based on the old prototype shown from the G2 Laser Prime mold. The metallic was supposed to be dingier looking but it just ends up looking exactly like the gold used on Nova. I probably should've went with flat rust but I didn't like that shade. I was supposed to go back over it in metallic copper or flat brass but never did. The windows are flat grapefruit. Optimus again has the modified pelvis I showed yesterday as well as the thigh extenders. It also has the DNA legs since they're one of the few sets actually worth getting from DNA lately. I got the most recent "slipper" upgrades for the super mode feet. This adds a tiny bit of height and makes it so that he can stand straight up now since the feet are now flat. I also got the leg cannon upgrades too. I also got that one big upgrade set and took a few pieces from that set and slapped them on this. The parts for the black cannons and the pieces that fill in the super mode legs. I took the lower arms from my Siege Delta Magnus/Magna Convoy and put them on this to better match Cybertron Optimus. I modified the back of the super mode head so that he can look up pretty far for proper "swooshing". With all the added height, he stands about the same height as other older leader figures like Star Convoy, Optimal Optimus, Super Ginrai, Dai Atlas, PotP Optimus, CW Ultra Magnus, PotP Rodimus and Star Saber. This is the height I feel Armada Optimus should also have stood at in super mode but they went and made him larger. Why bother making sure Star Saber stood at the same height as the rest but then go and make Armada Optimus taller but not as tall as God Ginrai or Victory Saber. It doesn't make any sense. Given how tall we've seen Armada Megatron is compared to super mode Optimus, Optimus should indeed be shorter in super mode.. I had plans to also make a Galaxy Upgrade Nemesis Prime and Fire Guts Ginrai but never got around to it. I had an extra prime but sold it along with the rest of that upgrade kit I took some pieces from for quite the profit on Ebay a while back. With a possible new Nova Prime coming, I hope they do his Nemesis Prime colors since that mold never got any black redeco yet as it is. The new parts would really help it to stand out. And since I'm crazy, I also feel it's a good base mold if they wanted to do a vehicle mode for Tigerhawk and Universe Razorclaw. I've wanted this ever since I first seen Maketoys Hypernovae for some reason. Something about Nova just makes me think of TIgerhawk for some reason. The wings are obvious but I think it's some of the poses Nova did in the comics. Or at least, from the screen caps I've seen as I haven't read the comics.

Forgot about this one. It's Siege Shockwave repainted as Cybertron Brimstone based on the Botcon figure. I had planned to do at least Galactic Man and Energon Sixshot as well and maybe FoC Air Raid and Fireflight but when an actual Galactic Man Shockwave as announced, I put a hold on anything else. I also started to run out of extra money and went back to work and stopped making customs in general all around the same time. I can only post about six pics a post so I'll be posting a few in a row here for you. The rest will be all about the GUOP mold.- Tranformers Pre-Cybertronian Amazon War Capsule - Miner Megatron, More New & Discussion Topic
Been thinking about Senator Shockwave and how some people don't like that it's using the Siege Tetrajet for whatever reason. I'm looking at Jhiaxus right now and I think this mold could've worked as well. The only thing is that it would require the arm wings to partsform like the ones on CW Cyclonus. The translucent plastic sprue, the red plastic sprue and the green plastic sprue would all need to be reworked. They could've replaced the larger wings with thrusters that also have pylons that come up and over his back like they do in the comics instead of making the chest have two of the seeker pylons on the sides of the head instead of the one. It could've worked fairly well with about the same amount of parts changed as there were on the Siege Tetrajet mold. It also would've given Senator Shockwave opening hands so he can better emote in robot mode like Senator Ratbat can with his one molded open hand. Ultimately it was probably a lot cheaper to work on the Siege Tetrajet since it's be used so many times already than it would've been to rework the Jhiaxus mold which has only been used once so far. I like the Tetrajet mold and have EVERY version so far and don't mind more but even I would've liked it more had they used Jhiaxus instead. Oh well. It was just a thought though.- Transformers Leaked Listings Rumors News & Discussion Topic
I really should take pics as I've been asked several times about my customs before. I thought I had at least one but that must have been on my previous laptop. For now, settle for my custom GUOP pelvis that allows for a perfect transformation with thigh extenders until I dig Nova out tomorrow. Also works for Siege Ultra Magnus too but not quite for the Kingdom retool, not that it matters for that version of the mold anyway. I haven't tried either but the retooled front bumper infringes on that space in an attempt to fill it in so there's not as much room there anymore for the hips and thighs as with the other two versions of the mold. The thought process was inspired by TR voyager Optimus Prime/Octane in how the hips move back to align the trailer with the cab for truck mode. I looked at how much room there was in the pelvis of the Siege mold and just cut out a channel and some other minor bits that allowed the hips to move back to fill in the gap behind the front wheels in truck mode. The ratchets don't engage anymore, which could probably be fixed if I bothered, so I just tightened everything up with Kiki Fix Loose Joints and the more cost effective for the same stuff, water based polyurethane. I asked someone on Shapeways to design a new pelvis that allowed for this and would also have ratchets and locks or whatever but they couldn't fathom what I was talking about. Or rather, they couldn't be bothered. And I don't know how to design things like that so there's that but I do know how to cut things lol. I'll take more pics of my GUOP with Nova and Toxitron tomorrow to really show off just how tall he now gets compared to the base mold.- Transformers Leaked Listings Rumors News & Discussion Topic
As someone who repainted a GUOP into Nova, I can confirm that this would make for a great base mold. With new wings, shoulder pads, super mode chest and forearm guards (all from what I can tell from the silhouette anyway) , this will make for a great retool that's a long time coming. It also is the last character from the Siege era that I did a custom of to receive an official toy. At least my Toxitron will remain unique since I also used GUOP for that. Otherwise it's Siege Magnus for Delta Magnus, GUOP for Nova Prime, and Siege Sideswipe/Red Alert/Covert Clone for Tigertrack, Deep Cover and Clamp Down. Well, I guess a Siege Delta Magnus is still pretty unique vs the Earthrise version we technically got. As well as Nova Prime form GUOP without any new parts. Deep Cover was reworked into a Siege Scamper and the rest don't do much of anything right now. At least I never started on Black Ironhide since we've gotten two of them now or most of the other Diaclone or G2 repaints I was going to do. Although I probably should start on red Mirage just to hurry an official version of that along. I was going to do Detritus too but that's also being done. I started on a green Ratchet but never finished it. Maybe if I did, we'd get one of them too. I should grab some extra Skids/Burnout/Crosscut to do Skids and Screech. Oh and I plan on doing a lazy custom of parts swapping Blue Trailbreaker with Lift-Ticket to make Red Trailbreaker and Blue Hoist and then repainting the heads. Oh and I do mean to do yellow Cliffjumper, red Bumblebee and white Hubcap too. I have the heads somewhere to be repainted but a lot has happened since I took the heads off and now I don't know where they are anymore lol. Oh and 2007 Jolt, Cybertron Crosswise and someone else, I forget who it was, from my extra ER Datsuns. So many easy releases being skipped for some reason. They can just keep pumping out the Generations Selects if they wanted with all of these but they don't for some reason. But they're constantly saying that they're running out for GS since the stores want so many exclusives. But there's still so many more they need to do. Yellow Ratchet, Silver Silverstreak, Yellow Trailbreaker and Hoist and so on and so on not to mention the Go Bots redecos of the G1 Mini Bots.- Tranformers Pre-Cybertronian Amazon War Capsule - Miner Megatron, More New & Discussion Topic
Indeed. However Amazon has preorder price guarantees. So they'll refund the difference for the overpriced set when they swap it to the correct amount. And it should also mean that they'll honor the lower price for the other set too. So there shouldn't be a need to wait for Pulse to allow more preorders.- Matrix Workshop Gamer Edition Upgrade Kits for Transformers Studio Series
Okay so they made new guns and they DON'T have 5mm handles to be used normally? That's literally the only reason why someone would get a new gun for these figures. The sword for BB isn't needed. It's cheaper and easier to just paint the one he comes with. The axe for Prime doesn't look any better overall. Sure it has a three segment handle for those who might have wanted that, were there anyone who wanted that? Regardless it just means that it's more parts that will have paint rubbing off of and be prone to breaking or be warped. At least Barricade's sword looks interesting but who was asking for one for him? I have several large baggies and a large flat rate box filled with extra weapons that I can take from if I wanted something extra for Barricade. Oh and three totes filled with CW/UW/PotP/GS combiners with extra weapons I gave to them to pull from as well. I guess we should congratulate Matrix Workshop on making one of the most useless and least sold "upgrade" sets ever. If ever there was a use for that Bart Simpson meme with the "At least you tried" cake being trashed it would be for this.- Tranformers Pre-Cybertronian Amazon War Capsule - Miner Megatron, More New & Discussion Topic
Okay so I was right about how the drill was formed for vehicle mode. I was just hoping that the pickaxe head wouldn't just be put to the side like that though. Although I don't exactly know what I was expecting otherwise. Even still, this drill tank won't be all THAT effective. Senator Ratbat is a nice surprise. Shame the wings still can't articulate upwards like the character model. It's also pretty funny that the little thrusters are on wrong on some of the actual figure shots.- Transformers Legacy Evolution Commander Class Armada Optimus Prime News & Discussion Topic
The grey prototype from Wondercon literally has the supermode fists in the lower legs where they should be and the pelvis can split like it should. You can even see the transformation joints to turn the legs into the super mode arms inside the torso as well as the openable shin flaps that would be needed to turn the legs into arms and the ports on the shoulders to connect the top to the bottom. So I think was was meant was that the prototype itself wasn't able to combine and not that they design itself wasn't able to combine. Otherwise why have the super mode hands there at all? I went back to this story to read it myself when I heard a Youtuber talk about it in their video the other day that it was NEVER meant to combine into super mode at all. I guess you can interpret what Mark said either way if you wanted to but it literally says that it's the grey model itself that isn't capable of combining. I mean, it's a greyscale prototype afterall. It's not meant to do everything as it's a proof of concept and it was probably glued into place. But it was always meant to combine into super mode once it was finished. So something was either lost in translation when Mark asked them about it, it was such and old prototype that whoever in Takara answered his question about it didn't actually know or that it's just a single sentence and Mark being from Massachusetts butchered the English language so badly that he fumbled it all or something before moving on in the next sentence.- Tranformers Pre-Cybertronian Amazon War Capsule - Miner Megatron, More New & Discussion Topic
That's funny. BaCon you must be messing with me at this point lol. I post that, go get dinner, get back on the computer and boom, you post something seemingly confirming exactly what I was going on about. The colors look better and more uniform. The hips are assembled correctly. The new accessories look like injection molded plastic and not 3D printed parts. The paint look professional on the new parts. The pickaxe has tabs to hold the arms together in drill tank mode. It looks good. Or as good as can be expected from the Siege Megatron mold. The new parts look like they can be assembled in a different way for tank mode though. The head of the pickaxe should come off from what I'm seeing and that should allow the full drill to attach to the front pickaxe handle or something maybe. I don't know. I just think that the parts don't look like they're being utilized properly for tank mode. That's an awfully long peg on the back of that one part otherwise and looks like it should be able to be inserted fully into the pickaxe handle once the head is removed. Maybe the turret is supposed to be flipped around the other way too to allow for the drill to pivot up and down. Watch you post more pics while I was typing all this out.- Tranformers Pre-Cybertronian Amazon War Capsule - Miner Megatron, More New & Discussion Topic
Something has been bothering me about this set of pictures for "Miner" Megatron and I finally figured it out. That's NOT a complete copy. That's the headless and weaponless copy from before but with upgrade parts. The triangular back cannon is from one kit that I can't seem to find anymore. As is the sword filler piece so that the sword pegs into the arm as shown. The drill is an unpainted copy of the drill you can get on Ebay. The head is a version of the miner head you can get on Ebay as well just without the caution stripes on the "eyebrows". So yeah, this isn't what we should expect for this figure. Yeah the head was designed to look like miner Megatron but that head is an EXACT match for the upgrade head that's being sold. Detail for detail it's exact other than the caution stripes. The triangular back cannon clearly does not have factor paintwork. Again, the sword once removed from the tank barrel would need a separate filler piece in order to plug into the arm as seen here. One that was being sold online at one point along with the triangular back cannon. The drill again is an exact match for the drill being sold online. It's just not painted the same. You can even see other pieces from the kits on one of the other Megatron figures. The leg missile pods, the shoulder missile pods, the forearm flaps and the miner crown on the head.
