Thanks to Primal Sabbath who's posted a bunch of images from Pete's Robocon last weekend. We have a look a many of the Beast Wars figures that were not produced by Hasbro and or for the Transformers Collectors club as well as numerous prototuype, testshots, repaints, catalog, and concept ideas. Some of the pices worth noting include the failed figure made from various bits of Cheetor and Inferno parts that was said to test if they could use rubber overlay parts as an alternative to transformation. We first heard of the Transformers War Within Optimus Prime figure remake back in March. The amazing comic design for this character was only been realized officially in the Titanium series and one highly detailed third party release for the Spark Toys ST01 DW Alpha figure from 2016 that is long gone and now highly coveted. There are quite literally 1,000s of vintage Transformers toys to be had from G1 through to Animated. I am quite happy collecting the smaller things in life such as PVCs, candy toys, and fast-food premiums.

Its going to be a MasterPiece summer! The official details are out by way of Polygon. They have shared some new official images along with details on the figure including the very cool Ghostbusters styled Proton-Pack backpack for the box. Read on to see details from the article along with new images below. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

That's a good point, the price of other classes at the time are a good measure as well. I am just guessing that the MP-1 came out for around $100 when deluxe and voyager were still about $10 and $20 or so. The mass of the classes have changed too. I think you can look at SIEGE and see the Leader Galaxy Prime at $50 and see its not much more than a Voyager was, and deluxes are smaller and lighter too.

Look at everything from cars to food to travel and you'll find high-end options. But is this anything new? Seems to me Transformers and most toy lines have always put a few things out of reach to increase engagement in all the lines. We have seen Fort Max, Metroplex and the many baseformers aimed at the high-rollers and or the coveted Xmas buy.

I have to wonder if the perception is skewed because older MP toys are still available for the same or less price than when they were released?
