Beast wars on fox?

Recommended Posts

I do recall Fox showing BW sometime ago, but I honestly don't think that Fox will show it again. Not only because they don't seem interested (given their programming design), but with only 1 day of cartoons a week, I would think they would keep the money makers on the air with more time.

But provide a reliable link, and I would believe it.

Now, that doesn't mean that a Fox affiliate can't show BW at another time slot if it is still syndicated, though.

The law was just for Beast Wars If you ask me. But they do tame the violence on their cartoons. Look at Beast Machines and the new Ninja Turtles. They hardly ever show the character's blow make cantact with their opponent. They show them about to hit the person and then there's a flash or camara shift and then the opponent goes flying or falling.

What gave you the thought that Niga Turtels wasn't violent. Nija Turtels while not showing the violence is very violent (much more than a lot of kids shows even back in the day). They showed Leo and Shredder jump towards each other a flash and then Shredder land and his head fell off (Leo whent for the kill, these trutles don't mess around, much like the original comics :thumb ). I was shocked even though at the end a headles Shredder got up and picked up his head and walked away (end of season 1). Also whenever Backster Stockman faled in capturing the Trutels Hun would drag him away and you would hear a scream. Next time you saw Stockman he was minis a eye or a hand (some hardcore stuff for a non-violent show don't you think). Stockmen edded up being in one exploshion that left him as just a head, depended on robot bodies, then another explosion left him a a flotting brain in a jar. To wich Shredder told him "you should have stopped when you were a head" :tflaugh . Sorry but this cartoon is very violent and very cool. Love this show :clap . Waiting for season 3.

I didn't say they were with out violence. I said they rarely show it graphically. I haven't been able to keep up with TMNT. But I have seen some of those episodes with Stockman after being maimed. I felt sorry for him. I have mixed emotions as far as violence goes now. If a character is helpless or can't defend themselves I think it's kinda overkill to turture them and I always feel sorry for the character. Then again when Megatron was reborn on Energon and visiously beat Scorponok I was like, " I like this Megatron!"

I really doubt BW is making it back to the airwaves - Hasbro wouldn't want to confuse kids w/ showing an old incarnation of TFs while they've got a current show still airing. The show is essentially a huge toy commercial - they're not gonna put on a show that has no toys on the shelves.

and the whole series is out on DVD now, so why bother?

Hey if I can get sort of back on-topic here:

I just bought (and watched all of) Season 3 of Beast Wars last night. I had never seen it before, being raised on G1 and being averse to the whole "animal" thing at the time. (I've now seen every BW episode.)

Dang.

Every season of Beast Wars made me more and more ashamed of my affection for G1. It is SO much better than G1 ever was, and that includes TF:TM. I am just blown away. I think Hasbro made the right call in allowing the writers to focus on a few characters, rather than forcing the introduction of EVERY new toy into the show, the way they did with G1. You really learned to care about these guys over time, and I have to say that BW Optimus Primal and Megatron are probably the best faction leaders I've ever seen in Transformers. They were (forgive the pun) real, three-dimensional characters, not the (again, forgive the pun) two-dimensional, cartoony guys we were given in G1.

And I have to say that in the episode where Megatron is frustratedly trying to get that caveman girl to fix his big disruptor weapon thingy, I was rolling. "Yes -- the -- n-- n-- no -- oh, for the love..." :rofl

Now I can't wait for Beast Machines to come out. (I know, I know; I've been around long enough to know that half the fandom loves BM and the other half hates it, but I'm going to watch it with an open mind.)

Just thought I'd add my thoughts about five years after the fact. :D

That episode reminds me sorta/kinda of the G1 episode "The girl who loved Powerglide" Where G1 Megs was threatening the female human.

I can't wait to get the Season 3 set. I've tape like every episode of beast wars but for some reason I kept missing the the episode where Blackarachnia was introduced and season 3 where she gets her new Transmetal 2 body, so I cant wait to see that one.

Yeah, it was definitely worth it. I must have gotten lucky at Best Buy last night when I found it. I swear they have no clear idea of where to shelve Beast Wars -- I've found this one as well as Season 2 in the weirdest places.
