Not too sold on the yellow stripe, BUT, grey face, chrome lights and gun, and darker windows, weighs up for the stripe, compared to Hasbro's ^^

The stripe makes up for the chrome in my opinion.

Well, that plus the more cartoon accurate arm/leg deco and darker windows .

We both win. :thumb

I SO want TAKARA's Ironhide! And Galvy but IRONHIDE is pure :win and totally :awsum

2nd post, same rant i know, i know.

WOW... That Galvatron is so filled with G1 goodness... Hasbro why can't you be like this?

Because Hasbro rather not assault their figures with random chrome that makes them look like KOs?

Well better than random repaints and non accurate paint. Anyhow chrome really isn't something needed to complain about. It adds more G1 likeness to them... :tmyk But I have to say Hasbro rules with :animated

How exactly is Hasbro's Galvatron paint job inaccurate? Last I checked the point of Classics was to reinvent characters, not copy them from their G1 counterparts. Hasbro's Universe Galvatron is just as accurate as Classics Bumblebee's is.

TT's version is more G1 accurate, but Classics does not necessarily mean G1 accurate. If I had any interest in this figure at all I would be quite content with the Hasbro version.

As for chrome? When applied properly it looks nice. When randomly applied it sucks and makes the toy look like a KO. TT Henkei! Galvatron is an example of the later.

Oh, and "G1 had chrome" is not a very good argument to justify TT's use of it with the Henkei! line. Last I checked crappy articulation and fists that had to be removed to transform a toy were part of G1. Should we bring those aspects back?

One more thing, don't use the :tmyk....you can't pull it off.

Damn, Ironhide needs chrome not Galvatron!!! :argh

Well hell, I took one look at that Henkei Galvatron picture and immediately I knew in my loins that it was G1 Galvatron, of endless 1980's toon-watching fame. When I first saw Hasbro Galvatron, I didn't have that instinctive response to it. The Tomy version is MUCH more unified color-wise and the shade of blurple they chose is much more immediately evocative of Galvatron IMO.

Indeed, Lord Madhammer.
