Have you ever thought of making your own Transformer?

Recommended Posts

I've come up with a couple. None I've drawn up though. :tfsad

Trailbreakimus Prime by the way for those who might have forgotten is a large pickup (with crew cab and tandom rear axle) along with a large 5th wheel moble home. One day soon, I'd love to draw it up.

I also have ideas in my head as to Star Trek Transformers (like the Star Wars ones, but WAY better (the SW ones have like 3 Darth Vaders! (4 if you count the Anakin Skywalker one) What's up with that?)

The first one I thought of was the Enterprise-E, Defiant, Voyager, Promethius, and Phoenix (Nebula class) combiner.

Back in the days of the old Transfandom boards, I was involved in an excellent RPG based in the G1 universe called Echoes of War. I made a quite a few of my own characters up, as did many of the other guys. Many of them still run around in my head - although I try and rein them in sometimes. :)

Many of my earlier characters were simply revised versions of figures that were already available.

Oggtimus - warrior from the future with an appearance and abilites similar to Armada Blurr - with a flippable back pack a la cartoon TM Ratrap. Was later rebuilt into a form much like Cybertron Hot Shot.

Prometheus - A black, red, and gold repaint of Energon Megatron

Later characters were completely new creations. My big issue is that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and thus want both a good looking transformer, as well as one that has a proper working TF scheme. Getting it in my head is fine - it's getting that then onto papepr that I have issues with. :) Stargazer and Archangel were are probably my two of my favourite creations and have stayed in my head.

I actually have a fan character I created a few years back based on my - then new - car. I tried drawing him out in Robot mode a few times, but it never really worked quite the way I want it.. mostly because while I have the character in mind (he's a tactical non-combatant sort, kind of like preceptor and hoist n junk) I don't know what he really looks like in robot mode in my head. I really don't want to resort to the sterotypical Diaclone style autobot with a hood chest and wing doors.. -_- ..

I might redo my character though.. I think making him an advisor and councilor would be kind of funny.. some of them autobots are a head case in a half.
