BT Meister

Oh...and one more thing I forgot to mention...with the blue visor on the face and the white paint job....COME ON! This is Jazz. What's with the Meister name?

Meister is what they call Jazz over in Japan. Hasbro used that name because there is a real car named Jazz from Honda, so Mazda didn't want the RX-8 to be called Jazz.

Meister is the Japanese name for Jazz.

Exactly! Which is why my Alt from Hasbro US "should" be labeled Jazz but instead is still labeled Meister on both the box and the rear license plate. Go figure. :wtf

Once again:

Hasbro lost the trademark to the name "Jazz" for one of their toys.

Which is why both the reissue and the Spychanger are named "AUTOBOT Jazz" instead.

However, with a real Honda car named "Jazz" out there, Mazda proably didn't want a toy based on one of their cars sport the name of one of their competitor's cars.

So Hasbro decided to go with the Japanese name instead.

Hey, I got news for you: Silverstreak looks totally like Bluestreak! :roll

Okay, has *anyone* gotten the instructions for Meister yet?

It seems like nobody transforms the feet the same way twice in photographs, some with Smokescreen like feet, some trying the backwards method, and with varying levels of the heels and toes extended and angled (he has ankle articulation, right?) I'm just curious what the "official" transformation is.

Meister is the Japanese name for Jazz. Can't decide on red or white. The robot mode is so much better in white, but the car mode is so much better in red. Probably go with white. Just don't like the look of fig in pic posted a couple of posts up.

I agree, the red car is better than the the white but the white is definitely better for the robot - it's Jazz for heavens sake, red?! Same with tracks, I think the yellow looks nicer on the corvette but the robot should be blue. Guess that's twice as many purchases for me then. HASTAK win ,again!

The "official" transformation from the box and instructions is Smokes/'Streak-like feet.

However, considering that the "backwards" transformation is more intuitive than the actual transformation leads me to wonder if this is how HasTak originally intended it to go (as it would be closer to Jazz's original transformation), but that they later made concessions to Mazda to make the robot look like the one on their website (which had the Smokes/Streak feet).

Speaking of the website meister, he had the doors on his feet flared out like the wings on his shoulders. I think I'm gonna transform mine like that when I get one. I thought that was cool and also simular to Jazz's wing on the back of his feet.

not me, backwards trans all the way, does anybody know when he will actually will make it to wal-mart and k-mart?

looking at the site again, Mazda has given us more of the story than Hasbro has. They could atlease give us a comic or two.

Hit RX-8 transformer and then Hasbro Alternators. You would think this animation would be a special demo on the hasbro site.

i remember watching it like everyday straight for 2weeks. :thumb i rememeber stumbling upon it on accident just looking at the mazda cars b-cuz i wanted to buy a 6 and was like :wtf zoom zoom, and then it transed, fast forward what 6-7months and it's finally ready to be in my heands, damn hasbro ship it to walmart already.
