SWTF Megatron by Massdestruction

The Falcon transforming into Prime would be a nice 2nd bash. Although it is the wrong side, I think the X-wing would make an interesting Starscream.

I do have a few other SWTF bashes in various stages of progress to go along with Megatron. I'm about 1/2 done with a Goldbug from the Anakin Jedi Starfighter. About 1/3 done with a "Millenium" Prime from the Commander Cody Turbo Tank. I also have started Sunstorm from Saesee Tiin Jedi Starfighter. Not started, but bought figures for Kup from Emperor Palpatine Shuttle and possibly Ramjet from the ARC Trooper pre-x-wing. Also have a Millenium Falcon, but haven't decided who to make yet.

The only problem with using the Falcon as a Prime would be the robot proportions. The Falcon bots are bigger than Megatron, and I wouldn't want it to be such a mismatch.

Anyway, sorry to semi-hijack the thread Hot Rod, it looks amazing. Great job. The paint job looks excellent.

Perhaps the head off of the Classics Two-Pack Megatron would really kick this thing into high gear?

First, it's actually my custom, Hot Rod was the moderator that created the post. But it's OK.

And second, I have the Classics 2 pack Megatron and was contemplating using that head or the voyager Classics Megatron's head. Unfortunately (or fortunately since it made me create a pretty good new head sculpt) they are both about deluxe sized heads and looked really tiny on Vader's body. Boy they made voyager Classics Megatron's head small. So, good idea, but it didn't work for this bash.

No wonder the original line failed (the entire boys division at hasbro was fired, so I wastold, due to bad sales, with Titaniums and SWTF being cited as examples)

I was under the impression that the SWTF line was a huge success. Why else would Hasbro continue to create more AND expand the crossover concept to Marvel?

You are correct.

Hasbro has mentioned on several occasions that SWTF have been very popular, which is why (as you surmised) they continue to release new figures.

Ah, ok. Sorry, my mistake. Great custom. Looks amazing.

Ah, ok. Gotcha.

One more suggesting though, you could paint the lightsabre purple to match the "energy sword" Megs used against Prime in the '86 movie.

Thought so. I have no idea what Primal-Covoy was talking about.

That was one of the things I would heave loved to have done for this custom. It's actually one of the main inspirations behind this custom. I really wanted to do make it purple.

The only reason I didn't paint it purple is because it still had to work with the shooting cannon and I know from other customs I've done that the being inserted into and being fired out of the cannon would have damaged the paint. Dyeing it using blue dye probably would make a darker purple blade, but I haven't tried dyeing yet, so I'm a bit hesitant to try it.

Get a blue sharpie (or any other permanent marker) and colour over it. It'll end up a really deep purple and still be translucent. Just be careful where you touch while the ink's still drying.

You did a really nice job with everything. Can't remember whose sig its from, but this bash reminds me of this pic. I think It's a G2 comic scan captioned with Op asking megs, "Do we really need to wear these capes?". :tflaugh

Hmmm, blue sharpie. I may just have to try that.
