I really like the idea, but I don't think it will happen. I suppose I can only dream about '66 GTOs, and '87 ford mustangs.... :drool

Both of those are excellent choises, and I would love to see both. I would also love to see my ride as an alt/bt, but I'm sure all we are going to get is new cars. :(

Sweet a 58 Fury would be like having Steven Kings Christine as a transformer. That would kick so much ass, they could even make her a female decepticon.

She was born in Detroit on an automobile assembly line. But she is no ordinary automobile. Deep within her chassis lives an unholy presence. She is Christine - a red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury whose unique standard equipment includes an evil indestructible vengeance that will destroy anyone in her way. :mwahaha

Hmm another thought a black Trans Am....The Knight Industries Transformer = K.I.T.

I think it would be interesting, but I doubt it as newer cars are more viable from a marketing stand point. I think the classic cars appeal to a far more limited market than the current vehicles.

But at least we are getting a Grimlock Mustang, a classicly made American car with a classic American favorite.

lol silly usa peeps and thier redundant over sized V8 why use a 4000CC v8 when a turbo 2000CC inline 4 can do better as well as save you fuel

thats not to say i dont like the classic look

I’m sorry four cylinder engines have lower horsepower limits than eight, ten, and twelve cylinder engines. One of the cars above the Chicayne, by Troy Trepanier has well over 1000hp and 1000ft.-lbs. of Torque from a twin-turbo small block V8. And that’s reliable power as well, and smaller engines are unstable when trying to push a lot of horsepower through them. Just remember the old saying there is no replacement for displacement. :thumb

And as for the thought of classic cars appealing to a far more limited market than the current vehicles is a bit silly really. And I don’t mean this in a mean way. But millions of people are into hot rods and muscle cars. Just look at the evidence to this; countless television shows about them, an entire network about cars, racing, car shows, performance parts companies, etc. Just to name a few examples, and just look though the die-cast section of most department, hobby, and toys stores and look what kind of vehicles dominate those areas.

I'm thinking about getting a alt of grimlock when he comes out and giving him a "Gone in 60 seconds" Eleanor paint scheme.

i'm not that keen on the older muscle cars, but if i had to choose 1, it would be the old-school Ford GT40... probably perfect for for the old-school seekers (Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp)...
