Mirrorverse/Earth-3, in other words. With many different Transformer lines, Botcon decided to build on that premise in a similar way Marvel and DC created a structure to explain their own miltiple, and sometimes widely differing storylines: Multiple realities within a greater Multiverse. The Shattered Glass universe is but a version of reality where Autobots are Evil and Decepticons Good. Morality is switched around, just like in DC's Earth 3 or Star Trek's Mirrorverse.

Star Treks mirror Verse can hardly be described as "Federation evil", especially after kirks time.

/Nerd rant

Only because of interference from Enterprise-Prime, who managed to influence Spock, who in turn set up a peaceful Federation....which, in a universe where good and evil are switched, is, fills the role of 'evil empire'. So, analogue to how todays Germans are still paying the price for the Nazi Empire(not quite as drastic, though), the Mirror-humans still pay for their transgression in their own universe. The irony here is, that they came to this situation only because of outside, so, alien, interference. So, they were actually right in being xenofobic and agressive, but only within the confines of their own universe.

It's still a way overused plotdevice, though.

That's an interesting stance upon the situation. :schin

But I think the alien aggression was due to the whole xenocide thing the Terran Empire was so good at, although I suppose there isn't enough evidence to say whether the other species of the Universe were different because of or inspite the Terran empires aggressive stance.

Heh, in the back of my mind, I used to always wonder if we're actually the mirrorverse.

After all, the nature of humanity seems much more likely to form an intergalactic empire than a "kum ba yah" Federation of Planets.

If there is a mirrorverse, then the other verse would be considered the mirror world because of alternate principles and beliefs.
