I heard a rumour about a month ago that Hasbro plans on re-issuing these G1 characters (Irondhide,Trailbreaker,Sunstreaker,Wheeljack) and a couple more that I cant remember?

Anyone heard any truth to this rumour?

:tfgrin

No offence but who would want a reissue g1 ironhide. that is one of the worst molds ever. magnified by the fact he is one of the greatest characters ever

I agree 100% but I was just wondering if the rumour I heard was true and that Toys R Us are silling them anytime soon?

dont know, but with TRU thinking of selling thje toybiz, I dont suspect they will be doing too mamy more g1 reissues.... also I heard that the foot first transformers (wheeljack and sunstreaker) had unusable molds, we discussed this somewhere else in TFans... soundblaster was retooled for the takara reissue of soundwave. so I guess anything is possible

If they did reissue Ironhide and ratchet in the US, I always thought it would be cool if they could make a peice that could clip on to give them a back and a true head. :thumb

Shouldn't be too hard, and not at all impossible, since Takara retooled Bumblebee's head to make him more cartoon accurate, and did an "anime" version of Starscream as well. I've recently taken to displaying most of my G1 reissues in alt mode, so whether or not they give them heads I'll buy Ratchet and Ironhide. Takara's reissued them before, so we'll probably see them eventually.

I read that Takara and Hasbro plan on reissuing at least all the 1984-1985 cars... in fact, I think Hasbro has already finished the 1985 lineup, if I'm not mistaken. I'm positive we'll see Trailbreaker, since Hoist has been done. Ditto for Ramjet and Thrust, and

Soundwave in the US. We'll probably see Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, and Mirage later on. Broken molds or no, they can do it, and they're on a roll... won't stop 'til long after the movie, at least.

I'm hoping to also see a G1 Bruticus, which shouldn't be hard, since they've been repainting him for a while now. I also want a Devastator, since my KO's springs seem a bit f@#ked...

Well anyways, if T r Us does g out of business, Maybe al those reissues will go to Wal-Mart or something. Easier on the wallet anyways. I can remember back when They used to be affordable on our childhood allowances.....what a shame.

G1 Bruticus

Onslaught with scrabble city launcher?

Same spring loaded launcher with

Silverbolt?

Motormaster?

Hotspot?

That would be cool. Gift sets would be perfect too!

Lets not forget Devastator!

We need all the weapons and all the accessories plus cool add ons

Predaking Needs to be reissued in the US to keep the cost down (just cause I can pay that doesn't mean all who want it can)

I don't think we've seen anything definative since Ricochet, but Hasbro did have Astrotrain at OTFCC.

Sideswipe should be out within the next couple of weeks, now that the 30% sale is over with! :tfsad Ricochet and Astrotrain are likely to be the last we'll see this year, provided TRU stands pat with their 2 reissues a quarter philosophy! Beyond that, Hasbro hasn't offered any other G1 info.
