Hello, I'm Kalron, and I'm a Sniper...

...With that said, I never really used eBay till recently for TFs. I learned the hardway that the only way to win on eBay is to Cheat...IE...Snipe. Like Shadowstitch said, I wanna set my price, not some a-hole running up the bill just cause I out bid him. I spent months on a Unicron hunt, finally won one for $30 shipped and complete w/ minicon. Best deal I ever got, but the frustration leading up to that win was not fun.

As the original poster stated, I have been screwed by "Early Endings", and I don't think they should be allowed. I was watching a Unicron and it ended early at $16!!! Although in my case I believe the person who was selling was a scammer. After the fact I looked at the fine details and saw that shipping was $25!!! and the seller had a ZERO rating, but somehow managed to have an entire eBay store setup with most of the bids ending early. That seemed fishy to me.

All in all I have had good experience with eBay, but my interaction has been limited. The only bummer I had was a figure that was extremely loose, but I got it for cheat so I was alright with that.

...shipping costs are another story. I've paid $10 for shipping on an item that arrived in a small-ass box with no packing and a $1.12 postage stamp on the outside. On the flip side, I had a Seller email me stating they discovered the actual shipping cost was less than stated and the wanted to refund me $2.00, I told them to keep it, honesty pays for itself.

IDk, the only time I ever lost an auction for a TF I wanted to get was when the price became more than I was willing to pay.

I need to sell my whole collection and don't want to pay Ebay's outrageous fees... do people buy from the classifieds here?

Yes but it might take forever.

I'm not the biggest fan of eBay, but it can be a reliable resource.

It's just a matter of getting the sellers off their rears and to the post office.

I too, am an auction sniper. Gots me an Animated Black Arachnia because of it.

Is it considered rude by many? Sure.

Does it work? You bet.

Will I continue to? Oh yeah.

It's just a matter of getting the sellers off their rears and to the post office.

Or to get buyers to pay right after they hit the BIN button instead of taking a week to do so because they were "out of town" or their "email wasn't working". As if.

Anyways as a buyer the only thing I hate is sellers who cheat people on shipping costs. I.e. recently bought some dvds shipping was $25 but actual shipping less than $8.00. Naturally seller refused to refund the difference and evilbay won't due squat even after it was reported. They insisted on the "headers" of the bloody email. Well morons that they are they just do not realize MANY free email accounts do not have headers, you fracking idiots! So basically evilbay for all of their doubletalk is full of themselves. They do not care to protect their remaining customers from scamming sellers. Been back and forth with those morons for over six emails and they still cannot help.

Can deal with snipping, sometimes ya win sometimes you lose... you cannot expect hot items not to be sniped. Anyone who thinks snipping is bad needs to get out more b/c that is precisely what happens in live auctions. Evilbay is no different hot items in demand will gather more attention and many people use sniping software as well, so unless you really want it AND have the monies to actual pay, do not get into sniping wars if you cannot handle the stress.

Lastly, as a seller hate how we cannot automatically FINE the moronic irresponsible bidders for winning an auction and failing to pay! Yes we should fine them (monies go to ebay) and make them pay what they owe by winning the auction to the seller. When people register they are required to associate a valid credit card so that alone should be the source of fining, but nope. Spoke to many reps they all agree this is a good idea but it won't happen.

I only snipe. I mean thats really the only way to get a good price. I mean if you go in and bid an hour before somone will just come in and raise the bid if you bid with 10 seconds left at least you're only competing with other snipers.

I got Metal Storm for NES for like $5 the other week... that game is worth more like $50 :D the chode in me wants to re-list it on amazon for full price but the collector in me goes "holy crap that game is worth $50 and I rule"

Hey everyone, I posted this earlier in the week in response to a different category/thread but wanted to put it in this category to see if I can get any feedback.............I have been using TFormers.com for quite some time and felt compelled to respond to everyone. Let me start by saying that I am a fellow collector of not only Transformers, but Star Wars and G.I. Joe as well and I too, have become frustrated with the increasingly difficult conditions on Ebay as it pertains to buying/selling action figures.

So, about 6 months ago, I thought to myself, Why use eBay? I mean, I know the traffic that they get is 2nd to none when it comes to selling but it can be soooooo much better. Especially for action figure collectors. So, I decided it was time to start a totally new type of site. One that is purely for collectors, one that kind of levels the paying field for everyone involved.

This site I am currently building will have sort of a stock market feel to it in that sellers will be able to list a figure (FOR FREE and for as long as they want) and enter an "ASK" price that they want to sell it for. A buyer can decide to buy it at that price or enter there own "BID" price for that item. The seller can choose to sell it at that "BID" price or hold firm on his "ASK" price. Another seller can come in at any time and sell to the buyer at their "BID" price as well. It would be a way for collectors to set an actual value of a figure. No more shill bidding, auction sniping, or losing out because the auction gets mysteriously ended by the seller. I think that collectors and buyers alike want to make sure they are getting maximum value for any item.

Another feature I am adding is the ability to list your entire collection onto the site and get real time values that are updated daily based on the market for a particular figure.

Now, I want to be sure that I get as much feedback as possible since this site will be for us, the collectors. So, any ideas, comments, questions you may have please contact me or post them here and I appreciate everyone's time.
