Blitzwing (movie/alt)

Thats the tricky part I guess. I really dont want to lose the realism of the alt mode, and my ability at remodelling things is questionably at best

Will require some consideration I think

Fortunately, most of the tank panels end up inside or under the sort-of-jet modes I listed. You could get away with paint applications (which would show up in robot mode, but not tank) and optionally a couple of bits of styrene, the majority of which would tuck away in tank mode or at least could fairly easily be made to look like they were part of the tank (the front landing skid, for example).

Come to think of it, a front landing skid could fold up onto the top and/or central rear of the secondary turret, and turn into some kind of additional weapon in tank mode. Or it could be a bit of engineering kibble that gets attached to tanks on occasion, like a small crane/winch/tow-hook. As long as it's olive or black it'll fit in with the rest of the tank.

Or just whack a half-inch-wide muzzle brake on the end of the barrel, stick a magnet in it, and put another magnet under the Decepticon symbol on top of the main turret. In jet mode, pop off the brake and stand it on end on the symbol.

Or have some olive-camo or black plastic strips pinned into the holes which are not quite halfway down the sides of the main cannon. Point the strips backwards along the barrel and join them over the top of the grey trigger with a little U-shaped bit of plastic. In jet mode, this U-plus-strips piece would pivot up and forward about 140 degrees on the pins that stick into the holes in the side of the cannon, and form a nondescript landing skid which could be stowed while in flight. Optional: the extra piece of plastic could be textured with a grille or military technogreebly pattern to blend in even better.

This is just on the Deluxe version. The Leader version might have slightly different options.
