Murphy Asks Fans Who Should Direct TF Movie?

Recommended Posts

They probably just don't wanna take the blame. If they let the fans decide the director they can see "well, U asked for it!". But seriously...

Nah, wait. I can't be serious. Ho-hum. When is this slated for? Who's writing this thing? I'm trying to look at the don murphy site now...

Michael Moore.

With his twisted sense he wolud make a documentary discussing that Prime died due to a conspiracy from his fellow autobots led by Bumblebee. He would point to unicron as the one who financed the whole plan. Galvatron would become a hero in Moore's reality.

In a more serious note I would like Mr. Tarantino to direct the movie or Mr. Furman.

It's live action (well, live action with CGI, obviously).

Surely Zemeckis can't be that busy--he doesn't seem to have anything on his directorial plate after "Polar Express."

Anyway, since the principals in this movie are going to be CGI-animated, perhaps they should look at the renowned directors in that field.  Brad Bird ("The Incredibles," "The Iron Giant") would be someone I'd nominate, if he can escape the clutches of the Big Evil Mouse.

I beleive Mr Murphy said Zemeckis would not do it. He had said that a while back. I think Quintan Tarrentino is not the right guy. I beleive OPP said Sam Raimi. He would be good as well. I still think James Cameron would be a great choice, if they could afford him.

James Cameron is a bad choice.

He's too big of a name and will no doubt put a spin on the movie or make a TF film 'in his vision', which is a bad thing.

My 2 Cents.

John Woo

Pu-leeeass... Why exactly do you want a comic book writer direct a movie? Only because a director (Kevin Smith) is also writing comic books, that doesn't automatically mean it could also work the other way round... Name me a single movie Furman has directed so far if you want me to take your claim serious at all.

William Shatner :eek :tflaugh1 :tflaugh :clap :rofl :D

oh baby oh baby please lets have RIDLEY SCOTT and TIM BURTON someone above said that it would be "too dark" man what else would you want from a civil war!!!myo!!

sory i havnt posted for a while guys i had just got DOOM3 and am addicted

I want the movie to be as accurate as possible. Mr. Furman's imput is important in order to insure that.

Tim Burton has a style all his own, that doesn't really fit well with the TF legacy, in my opinion. He's weird and quirky - I love his films, but it's just not quite the right choice. Even Batman, though good, wasn't *quite* the right vision.

We need a young, talented director in his late twenties, who grew up loving the cartoon and toy line - that's it. It doesn't matter if he's famous or not. Look at Peter Jackson - what did he do before LotR? Some crappy monster movie - that was it.

I hope they take a talented unknown director to helm the whole story and stay true to the source material.
