I'd like to formally announce that there's a newly created website which is dedicated to kitbashing and customizing Transformers. Like Transtopia before it, Sector70.com will feature many useful galleries, tutorials, and a full forum that's focused on the art of kitbashing and designing cool TF's. There won't be any news related features...just pure kitbashing, customizing, repainting, scratchbuilding, and detailing (with some fine art/2D sections for good measure).

 

If you're interested, please check out www.sector70.com and get involved on the forums. There are sections for site feedback, tutorials, and much more. I hope to see you there.

oh thank god, I hope this can fill the kitbashing void that was left when transtopia had to shut down. not that we can replace what we lost in tfmaster.

I think anything that helps add to the TF kitbashing and customizing community is a plus. I'm glad to see you guys putting something together, and I'm already bookmarking and signing up at the forums. :)

I'm all for posting stuff that's here (cause it's all awesome). I suspect that there will be enough of a mix of people from other boards over at sector70 that they may have not seen the great work being done here.

 

Although TFans has been my favorite hang since TT I do know of others who've drifted elsewhere.

I used to hit up Transtopia for tips and obviously to see the great works that everyone had on there. I kept an eye on that site for quite a long time, but never worked on any customs until Transtopia A.D.

 

I've since become a member of most Transformers custom/kitbash sites because I support everyone and their artistic visions, toy or not. I registered last night on Sector70 and I plan on adding the 3 customs I've worked on in the last few months, as well as a new one that is set to drop within the coming week (hopefully). I think this is a great idea and a great addition to the family of TF sites.

 

Looking forward to seeing everyone's work there (as well as here and other sites).

I am glad to see your format doesn't blow like seiberton's. mmy pc is busted I get a new one in about a month so expect alot of progress on TFans. I am saving my BIG project for Sector70, It will be my unveiling of my last 2 months of work, hope you like it;)

hey just for everyone's info and I'm sure JAF and Wikkid would agree, we're not trying to steel content or members from other sites. nor are we trying to compete. I like this board and I think seibertron will come back around again too. let's not make this a contest.

having said that, I'm super excited about being under our own roof. It's like when the monkeys got their own building at the brookfield zoo here in chicago. ...um...kind of.

Well said, Wheel_Jack. I don't see it as a competition or a stealing of members or content. I think all of these sites should welcome each other with open arms when it comes to something we all love--Transformers and artwork in general. I really like posting on all of these Transformers sites because each is unique and different and they always have something to offer (whether it is tips and help, news, toy sightings, etc.). So I'm down with 'em all and I'm glad you guys have started this up. It's a welcome addition and it opens the doors to more exposure within the Transformers customizing scene.
