Honda S2000 Alternator Pic!

Recommended Posts

I'm really thinking this isn't a 'Con. Again, the reason I think this is that Hasbro stated that every 'Con Alt/BT would be a repaint of an existing Autobot one. This is a new mold and is the first time we've seen this figure. Technically speaking, wouldn't a repaint -- by definition -- have to NOT be the first release of a figure?

you are absolutely right and why can't it be a con

i think it is a good dragstrip or wildrider or even one off the seekers

like starscream,thundercracker,dirge,ramjet,skywarp,thrust or even sunsstorm

maybe cyclonus or scourge

because they made Grimlock a mustang why not one of

the seekers into the new honda alternator

it is just a remark by me

hahahahahahahahhahahaha

would love to see the screamer in to an alt car or jet i don't care

he must be in the line he is my fave badguy

I stand by my prediction of "I have no frickin' idea."

What I don't get is why we should even have to be guessing about these things. Shouldn't it be immediately obvious who this guy is supposed to be? Know what I mean?

1. passes the time

2. makes some people angry (teh fun)

3. increase my pitiful post count

Duh

:D

What I meant was that you would assume that these characters would be immediately recognizable to Transfans. Like, "Oh, that's so-and-so". I don't get the design of this guy (and Swindle for that matter, who does *not* look like Swindle, even in Swindle's color scheme), and I don't see why Hasbro would come up with an Alternator that doesn't immediately remind you of... anyone.

Hell Swindle never did look like Swindle. You had the cartoon version, which looked pretty good in both modes, then you had the toy version which looked like a big lego block with two stumpy legs, a pin head and swizzle sticks for arms. With his shoulder joints right under his ribcage no less. And to top it all off, an alt mode that was definitely not a Jeep. A character like Swindle who was riding the bench in the cartoon season of his own wave should be so lucky as to be getting that beautiful Alternators Jeep mold.

But I agree, if its the 'new' version of someone, whoever it is, it should look like them, like the rest of the Autobot Alts do. With all of them, its so obvious who theyre supposed to be.

no i'm talking about the Miata, HS2G and the ones that share that mold, i swear there all the same cars, with slight differences, and because of the way they made the 350Z convert that's in there too, and the Bettle. Now the Stang, GTO Spyder, Firebird, Camaro, Sebring, Vette, Eclipse, and a few others are ok, just them 2sear roadsters, just scream girly to me, and i still say this is astrotrain b-cuz of the way he transforms, pretty simliar and didn't he have a vizor or was that only Blitzwing?

Okay I get what you mean. I thought you were talking about all convertible sports cars, which would definitely have gotten a big "WTF????" from me. (Cobra = 0 to 100 to 0 in ten seconds. Damn.)

Both triple changers had visors -- the toys that is. Astrotrain got regular eyes in the show.

The only problem with Astrotrain is... well, the fact that his name is "Astrotrain." He might as well be called "I'm A Space Shuttle And A Locomotive". That might make it a bit awkward if he were made into a little car.

...Man, this one has me stumped. The thing I hate is that the head actually *does* look like Overdrive, but I just don't get how that would be in Has/Tak's top ten (or at least, "first ten") Alternator choices. You would think that ahead of a friggin' mail-order Omnibot would be, say:

Mirage, Wheeljack, Sunstreaker, Prowl, Skids, Trailbreaker, Ironhide, Ratchet, Red alert, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Hoist, Windcharger, Brawn, or even Breakdown, Drag Strip, or Wildrider.

But Hasbro already said that all Alternator Decepticons would be Autobot repaints/remolds, and this is a new mold altogether. So I don't see how he could be a 'Con.

And what Autobot even has an eye visor that hasn't already been Alternator-ized?

...I dunno.

Yeah, the Viper and Cobra, while 2-seater convertibles are definitely NOT girlie cars. Ive seen tricked out S2000's that were done tight (no stickers, right wheels, performance exhaust that wasnt a fart pipe) and they seemed pretty masculine. Not that Id want to see a pink version, but that repaint you did does show some potential for Arcee. But the shoulders are a little big.

I agree with these guys as Rumble/Frenzy, but here's a thought that handles this and the cons-will-only-be-repainted-bots problem: Rewind and Eject. Second stringers also, but it could work. Better than Blaster anyway. And just like the name Astrotrain = Im a spaceship and train, Blitzwing = Im a plane and some kind of big hulking armored vehicle.

My vote goes to this guy winding up as some kind of cassette, a stunticon, or Windcharger or Cliffjumper.

If they call him slamdance I quit

is he pigeon toed on every pic, geez,

now do one as frenzy

I think he is mistransformed (the hips and such should swivel around like G1 Prowl and G1 Smokescreen)

Here is his back...perhaps I was wrong...

I do think his feet at least turn around...look at them

Back of Unknown

It does seem convertable to me

Convertable

First alt with an antenna...

It also have an Autobot symbol on the trunk...

Squarish Place for Manfucature thingie (Mustang has horse, Honda has H, etc) me thinks it is the Honda s2000 (or sXXXX considering I don't know much about cars other than they go...)

Nice to have a new Transformation scheme

If they call him slamdance I quit

I just hope they don't call him Tap-Out...

Not a fan of that name

I don't think it will be arcee (at least not a pink one)

My vote is for

Overdrive

With a redeco being

Blitzwing (with different colors)

Perhaps one that looks like...This?

Not a fan of the racing edition one...

Wheelie?

In the cartoon and the comic, he was. The toy, however, was based on a FMC XR311.

Man, Nevermore. Where do you dig this stuff up....?? :eek

Outrider74, I was actually just talking about Swindle's head. The Swindle Alternator is actually pretty "show-accurate," considering that--as you said-- in the show, they made him what was pretty much a yellow version of Hound (even going so far as to put the Jeep's grill on his chest).

But the head in the cartoon was very, very close to the toy itself (which is a bit of a surprise, considering how the rest of the figure was totally different in the 'toon). They gave him that cubic "peg head" shape, and even those big purple googly eyes.

When I saw the Swindle prototype, I decided that the head just had to be Trailbreaker's. He had a visor, for one thing, and the head itself was a perfect blending of Trailbreaker's toy and 'toon head designs. (I still believe this.) So now that's two 'Con Alternators who look like someone else. I wouldn't care so much (or at all, really) if they had still released the Autobot versions of them anyway. But until I hear otherwise, it looks like Swindle and Dead End are replacing Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker. :tdown

you are absolutely right and why can't it be a con

...er... so you agree that this would be an Autobot and you wonder why it can't be a Decepticon? :tfhuh

I really think this is worth thinking about. Hasbro has NEVER introduced a new Alternators mold and made it a Decepticon. Which makes sense, given that all the 'Cons will be repaints. Again, repaints by definition are NOT the initial release of a figure. See, that would make it the "official" figure, and anything that comes after that would be the repaint. Get it?

Plus, look at what Dead End and Swindle have in common. They're both pimped-out versions of their Autobot counterparts (Sideswipe and Hound, respectively). This Honda S2000 is bone stock. If this gets turned into a 'Con, it will probably look a lot different (perhaps it would even be that racing version in mflinn's link, who knows). And if this is the 'Con version, what would they do for the Autobot repaint? Make it even less cool?

See, it just doesn't make sense for this to be a Decepticon.

I wonder how many Trailbreaker bashes out of Swindle there will be, and how are do we put a top on there. as far as this HS2G it would be cool for it to be a con and a con. and yeah blitzwing and astrotrain don't make sense, but neither did Deadend, Swindle i can see, but DE no.
