Was anyone actually suprised???

I'm not.

I'm pretty sure you weren't involved in this ;) The MINI thing has been around almost since Alternators started, it was only a matter of time before some Japanese goop jumped the gun.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

this is soooo unfair!

This a repeat of the BT Wheeljack episode.....

only worse.

Please Joel, next time you hear something like this, take it with a pinch of salt.

I guess I was so hyped up about Grimlock that I didn't really think too much about a Mini anyway. Yes, Im a little disapointed tho.

im not really devistated about it. bumblebee yes, min cooper no. bumlebee as a 350z yes.

btw in the third or fourth post the dudesays he saw a commercial of a hummer that transforms. has anybody seen this commercial? and/or wat exactly was the transformationi?

habro and takara probably have made a protype as they said they just need to get pommision from the manufacterers. Mazda are setting a good example and if they start to feature jazz/meister in the adverts they would find demand for their cars would rise. others may see the rise in profitability and jump on the bandwagon.

OK so no Mini, no VW Beetle. What other universally recognised small cars do we have that could fill the void?

Personally, I can't see Bumblebee ever being used in the BT line. The name isn't "macho" enough for that kind of car. In fact, come to think of it, that's probably why BMW baulked. Because they didn't want their car associated with such a "sissy" character when the other car makers all got macho-bots. And Cliffjumper, while not sissy, doesn't really sound overly great either... jumping off cliffs? Not really up BMW's alley, methinks.

Hasbro said at OTFCC that they were still attempting to get the VW license.

Which is in direct conflict with previous statements from Takara(?) that VW will never license their products to anything with even a whiff of military association...

guess its a german thing, the whole `dont mention the war` syndrome(Fawlty Towers, a british sitcom in case anyone was wondering). As I said, they should wait a year or two and then make all their stuff decepticons just to spite them lol.

All a bit wierd as its essentially free money and though VAG (Volkswagon Audi Group) are doing well enough not to need, this BMW are not doing as well as they should with Chris Bangles `flame surfacing` styling bombing worldwide.
