G1, BM, Energon Timeline

Recommended Posts

Goodness this is convoluted. If you have to make up "multiple dimensions" and "multiverses" and alternate "thiis-and-that" you know things are messed up. Trying to harmonize them is fruitless. Would a person say that the 'Lord of the Rings' books are in one dimensiom and that the movies are in another? Come on folks! These are cartoons and comic books... nothing more. Even Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had wierd continuity glitches in his Sherlock Holmes books. They were not explained away with comic book cross-over events, an entire toyline dedicated to repaints and multiverses, or time travel and "missing continuity bridges" connecting seemingly unrelated storylines.

Just accept each series for what it offers. American continuity is different than Japanese continuity. Comics are different than cartoons. G1/BW/BM is different than RiD is different than Armada/Energon. Just deal.

thanks for puttin up that timeline like i asked x-bob :thumb

Same timeline or not same timeline, everybody thinks different and some look pass the looking glass. WHAT IF somewhere down the road a the story of a future transformer series takes place during G1 as a side story where Autobots travel the universe to search out other transformers or sum other reason and by fate they are sucked in a whole or rip in time or warp whole or watever u want to call i (ala Sliders or Planet of the Apes). And in this so called different universe, Mini cons exist. Different stories happen yada yada and a couple hundred million years or watever pass thus bringing Armada and Energon. Thus making that timeline connected to G1.

BW took place b4 G1. In one ep, it showed Megatron blowing up a mountain bcuz it had to do with sumtin with the G1 Autobots. Was that mountain Look Out Tower in the TF Movie. If it was, would've Hot Rod have seen the Decepticons? If it Look Out Tower was placed somewhere else, do you think he wouldve gotten the same angle of view to have seen starscream?

I agree with the common opinion that there are many distinct timelines one in which the G1 - BW/BM universe occcurs, and one in which Armada exists. As a clarification for people who seem confused by Universe, it exists in the G1 - BW/BM universe, a short time after the events of Beast Machines. Unicron has been rebuilding himself, and now requires an army (the Decepticons) to wage war on Primus' Children (who become the Autobots) either to distract them while he recreates himself completely, or so tha he can absorb the energy that they give off and complete the rebuilding process. To do this, he has collected the most vicious, powerful, and evil soldiers from various universes, gathered them in one place, and manipulated them to serve his purpose.

Sure, one can create a fan fiction where all the canon universes are in one timeline (which I am considering doing, if I ever get some spare time - based upon certain things that are said at certain points in each of th series) but if one considers how Dreamwave has handled the many universes (multiple timestreams/universes) plus the whole story behind Transformers:Universe, as well as the official stance from Hasbro, then it is easy to see that the lines have no real relation to one another, and that they each exist seperately.

However, I will leave you all with one question: I can't remember the epsiodes name, but in the Episode where Starscream's Spark enters the BW world and possesses Waspinator, he says he died protecting his master, Galvatron, from the menace of Unicron - this is what leads Blackarachnia to discover that he is not as noble as he appears. But what if he isn't lying? What if, during the time between Armada and Energon, it was Armada Starscream's spark that arrived on prehistoric earth? Then what he said wouldn't have been a lie, because he did die defending Armada Galvatron from the threat of Unicron. If I remember correctly, I don't think that Starscream was ever given a chance to respond after Blackarachnia labelled him a lier, he was just sent back into the cosmos - back to the Armada/Energon timeline, where he became the Energon ghost/assasin that he currently is. Interesting, huh?

but in the flashbacks they showed g1 starscream and they way that he acted was true to the g1 character rather than armada. What at the moment i find interesting in this is the binaltech transformers, they are g1 transformers but with 2005 less than a year away, will the events in the movie occur.

no, the dimension would be the same, cause the story is the same, now when facts change, history change, that's where the other dimension comes up, other dimention is when things look somewhat like the dfirst dimension, but with some big changes, example: G1 prime been an old truck, Rid Prime been a fire truck, the characters are the same, they wont change, what change is the history and things will happen.

furthermore, Blackarachnia proved he was lying and Starscream didn't deny it. I don't even know why we're debating it. If hasbro says Armada/Energon are separate than G1/BW/BM, then what's left to discuss.

Same timeline or not same timeline, everybody thinks different and some look pass the looking glass.

sure, people might think differently, but that doesn't mean they're right.

:pfx G1 is the original universe, the others spawned off it a recent example of a change in the timeline is the binaltech project.
