Ok well i just finished watching the last episode of beast machines. And what came to mind was that Energon isnt on the same timeline as G1 because in the last episode of of BM it showed Cybertron being reformated into a technorganic cybertron. So in other words Energon isnt on the same timeline as G1, BUT what if the beast machines series took place sometime after Energon and then there was the picture with rodimus holdin the flag with bumblee and the rest of G1 characters. blah blah blah

To me there are 3 kinds of people when this topic is invovled. Those that think they are on the same timeline, those that think they aren't on the same timeline, and those who are "What if." And well i am in that "what if" category becuz well ........... it has never been officially stated.

OH yeah and one more thing yoru not taking into consideration is that in the show in energon Rodimus is much older than Prime.

 

In G1 he was a crap load younger.

Well im still in that "what if" category cuz WHAT IF those alternate reality Bots' past started in G1 and some bots got sucked into a different world (SLIDERS) and lived there for a hundred million plus years. (Side Story) :D and no im not takin into consideration that Rodimus is much older than Prime...... but then again there is this thing called aging cream or wax in his case.

They are totally seperate realities and a total relaunch of the Tranfsormers franchise with a NEW continuity. It's not an issue of "where they connect". its an issue of realizing they have no connections, period.

It was merely a product relaunch for hasbro. If nothing else you can take that facts from a: TF:TM which takes place in 2005 and G1 season 3 which takes place in 2006. If armada and energon where on that time line, then Armada (which takes place in 2010 i believe) would have been full of season 3 G1 Transfromers and the quintessons and a G1 Optimus and Galvatron
