Snap goes Robot Master Prime's Waist

Recommended Posts

as stated in the RM Prime post

my RM prime has snapped in the waste aswell. :redface

So now I am currently looking for a way to reattach it with out makeing him a action master . :wtf

Might look and see what polycaps from my excess gundam model leftovers will let me do.

anyway, word of warning, the waist joint, (which looks like there is too much friction between the metal bolt, and the plastic it joints to, therefore it seems to get easier and easier to turn till it just falls off.

He also seems to start to wobble to the sides abit too.

anyway so, um yeah to the designer.  :tard

I was just wondering if anyone else has any ideas for how to repair this, other then using poly caps, if my Digi camera could have taken a pic to show what went wrong I would, but it was a mes of bluryness.

So has anyone else had this problem, other then Orioncoy.

anyway, Don't play with your Robotmaster Prime or he may do the splits.

Man, Takara's quality has taken a drop recently, hasn't it? First Kicker, now this. I will be pissed if it happens to mine.

I dont think Takara's quality has dropped. Just because the waist snapped on the Robot Master Prime you think that Takara's quality has dropped? Come on. Everyone can have that problem from time to time and rough handleing at times can be the reason for the waist snapping and I'm not implying that was the case. But it happens. Look at Hasbro. Doors breaking off their Alternaters, 20th Anniversary Prime's feet popping off or his matrix not lighting up ect. These toys were made to be played with I dont think they were made for the hard core collector in mind so Takara may not have put as much effort into them as they would have their Bineltech cars or MP Prime. Takara has a right to slip up from time to time and maybe just maybe the Robot Master line isnt their best effort unlike Hasbro who slips up more then they give a good effort.

How to fix Robot Master Prime? I wish I had some advise on that but I dont. I dont have him just yet and when I do get him he will stay in the case.

Just my three energon cubes worth!

:usa

somewhere on the boards there are takara fanatics with blood running out there ears at this news. I ordered RM-01, hopefully I will get lucky when he shows, I dont play with my tf's that much, so it may not be an issue, and his altmod is so fugly he would never be a truck in my house anyway.

Takara's quality has definately dropped...not just because of this, but look at the RM toys..they're horrible. Why was RID designed with tons of detail, and modernly, once Hasbro leaves the scene, Takara goes hard at work on RM, and it turns out looking like crap?

So let me get this straight Bodycount your going to say that Takara's quality has slipped due to one toy being broken? How many Hasbro products look like crap? I know that some of their TF line is not so good either and some of Hasbro's TF line does look like crap and I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

The robot masters line is Takara trying to give the fans what they have been screaming about, accurate transformers for a reasonable price. So yes the RM Prime does look like crap in alt mode, I couldnt believe how fugly it was in person. But BW Megs looks great, and transforms perfectly. As for the others in the first wave, they are all previous used molds and have been around since G2 and on.

But I agree with smithsquared, Prime will remain in robot mode forever, so I doubt that I will ever have the problem with the broken waiste.

As for the rest of the robot masters line, its unfair to call it crap just becaue of one figure. You pointed out primes faults but did you even look at the other toys, or point out their good and bad qualities, no you didnt.

my rm convoy snapped at the waist too... that'll teach me to overtransformmy toys...v :tfsad :tfsad :tfsad

I cant speak for Takara's quality since I own only one Takara toy (BT Hound) but the dude's got a point about RID vs. RM. The Car Bros. were some of the best toys designed in recent years (complicated tf'ation aside) whereas the RM line is just rehashed versions of other stuf except for Prime and Screamer.

I'm definitely still getting RM prime and starscream too, I'll just be more careful than you guys...
