I just found Rescue Ratchet, and was planning on making my greenish/yellow Ratchet into Ironhide. I have never done a complete repaint. Only touch up painting. And I need advice on how to go about doing it. I really want to do this repaint. Should I take it all the way apart? I bought the Testors enamel paints, and 2 cans of sealer. Please help advise me on this. And when it is done I will post pics on here. I tried as Seibertron.com for help and nobody had any advice. So I have joined this site with hopes of receiving help. Well, there are different ways to go about it. I personally like taking them apart, as much as needed..And then using a can of Krylon spray paint, coat each piece in whatever color, then either put it back together and finish off the small detail stuff, or, do detail before putting him together. Although if some of the decal is covering a few pieces, it's easier to have him back together so they all line up. Just make sure to be patient, and give the paint plenty of time to dry. Anything from one day to a whole week,

I bought Testors High Gloss Enamel overcoat for a sealer. Is this a good sealer? I want to be able to transform my figure after painting. Thank you for you tips so far. And if anyone could do a digi-paint of Ratchet into Iron-Hide for reference that would be great. Thanks in advance.
