Am I the only one who is starting to think

It's the American dream and right to Starscream and whine and moan about anything and everything :tftongue

Unfortunately, if the shelves are flooded with previous waves, the stores aren't going to order new stock until their current stock is down to a level where they'll order. And if some things don't sell in a timely manner, then certain waves might get skipped. Happens all the time with the SW figures. Which is why it helps to shop around.

Here's what the stores should do: any old merchandise that is not selling well (i.e. Ironhide/Wave 1 basics & deluxes) should be taken off the floor and set aside. Crazy? It sounds like it, but this would open up the shelf space and therefore increase sales and keep product continuously flowing through the stores. What do they do with the overstock, you ask? Well, at the end of the toyline, you put the old remaining merchandise on clearance. Just remember though, we have Spider Man 2 to blame for this. If it wasn't for that over-hyped lackluster sequel then Wal-Mart would still have all of that space for TF's. All of that space for various sizes of the same character :roll. Damn you, Spidey!

Spiderman 2 was not an overhyped lackluster sequel. It was really good. True, those crap toys take up TF shelf space, but what can we do? Stores need to carry more than one kind of toy

Yeah E. Ironhide and E. Prime galore at the Wal-Mart near me. I found E. Demolisher and Rapid Run (a sideways repaint) there and bought 'em. They were the only ones.

Sorry, just my opinion. I didn't mean to offend. And yes, stores need to have a variety of toys. However, as far as the Spider Man figures go, if the only difference between the figures is size and articulation, then what's the point? make two really good ones. One big, one small. Less shelf space to hog up. "Hmm...let's see....this one only has 56 points of articulation while this one has 15,000...". Regardless, they're all the same character. $$$$pider Man. At least the Transformers line has different characters.

Spiderman and Batman should have suporting charectors and Villions istead of Xtreem Spiedy and imrunningoutofgimmicks Batman

Exactly. They have villians in the movies, but none in the toy shops. :roll

That's the annoying thing about Spider-Man, Batman and X-Men lines. You have practically endless variants of Wolvy, Spidey or Bats. Just thank God that they stop pumping nonsensical kiddie crap like Spider-Mechs or Spidey-mobiles (since when did Spidey have to drive a car as a superhero?). And we complain when a bot gets a repaint or two. :tftongue. At least we don't have a Gone Fishin' Optimus Prime or 5 variants of Hot Rod per wave.
