Maybe this means that characters will be introduced moreso in this continuity. One of DW's problems was it assumed you already knew who everyone was, which was fine for hard core fans, but useless to newcomers.

Well seeing how the characters aren't exactly like their G1 personas, that seems to be true.

It's a little awkward that Infiltration is just starting to pick up and we've just starting to see the Transformers (heck, no Prime yet) and then BOOM! We're going to Cybertron with Thunderwing and the gang. But it is better than making the story an extension of old G1 continuity or DW's.

not really, DW did the same thing. Very first issue only Prime, Megs, and some other cameos. More TFs were introduced as the story progressed, then back to Cybertron with Shockwave and the gang in volume 2. We've been going thru a bit of a TF comic dry spell, bout damn time we see Cybertron again.

so...is stormbringer set in WW continuity?  Cuz I've never read those...

no

Damn. I suppose that explains why Megatron and Jetfire look different

I'm picking up #4 today after school, and I hope there are some new additions to the cast...like the last three that have yet to be shown (Prime, Megatron, and that third Decepticon, can't really place the name or face to the silhouette though :redface )
