I got it.  #0 had more of the plot in it than I had expected.  More than issue one, actually. 

This is one where you definitely needed to get issue #1 in order to really know what was going on. I did get sick of staring at Ratchet's "driver" though--I wanted him to just hurry the heck up and transform.

I'm diggin it so far, it looks like they're setting it up to be an ongoing character drama - like with much of the more recent sci-fi shows currently being produced.  Pacing is good, art is incredible, and they seem to have an idea where they're going with all of it.

 

The BW prequel left me slightly confused and excited to see what they intend to do with it.

That's because it's just a recap of the BW show, the online preview they had actually showed some of the "meat" of the series.
