Shockblast?

Eh.. they're just names. Call'em whatever you want once you get them home. So long as the name isn't something completely absurd (Bulkhead the helicopter, for instance) or an obviously poor choice (Downshift), I really don't care. And even then.. meh.

It's funny that in Armada, they called Tidal Wave, Shockwave a couple of times.

Oh well.

That had me very confused when that happened. I thought his different modes had different names.

Do the names really matter to you? I am sure if they named it pieceocrap, but you still liked the toy, you would call it whatever you wanted and still enjoy it! As such, who cares what Hasbro, Takara or the fans call it? Should all the matter is the fact that YOU enjoy it?

A rose by any other name is still a rose, I say get over what Hasbro/Takara name these figures....if you like the toy get it (name it what you will), if you dont like the figure then leave it on the shelf.

Its also important to regardless of wheather you approve of the name to still refer to it. I mean, people are already calling Downshift "E Wheeljack" and its wrong for this reason: There are a good number of fans that didn't watch G1, that have no idea about it. They see Rodimus and they don't care that he's not called Rodimus Prime or that his spolier isn't yellow, they just think he looks cool. They see Shockblast and say "WOW pretty sweet" and not "why isn't he called Shockwave or why doesn't he have a smaller arm like the G1 version?

By not using the proper names, we run the risk of confusing these fans in dicussions

UGH...more of this inane babble about G1 crap.

How is Downshift a poor name for a sports car!?

His bio already stated he's a super-fast racer(not a mad scientist or whatever that old crap did)...Surely you know what "Downshift" means?

Not even close. It's a fine name. It's just clearly and obviously an homage to Wheeljack. It's frankly, idiotic, not to use the name on top of it and save Downshift for another mold. If they're gonna recycle G1 characters, why be half assed on it? That's why it's a poor choice. I'd rather see something completely new than lazy rehashes, myself.

He is not named Wheeljack becuse of Rampage's U.S. name
