I don't play with my toys per se. I transform them only once in a while and re-pose them every now and then. What would my future parent-in-law think? However, through my imagination, I do see them meeting the Decepticons in battles even now. I know it sounds a bit crazy, but I suppose my love for these robots never left me since the 80s. I remember coming home from grade school and cook an instant noodle, sit in front of the kitchen tv and watch TF. I also remember at times I'd be so tick off because a Cubs' game was on and cancel the show for that day. Now, I can't even imagine why? And thank God for DVDs, reissues, and Binatechs. Heheh.

Honestly, I like the alt modes for TF's most of the time. Like the combined form of Tidalwave and G1 Prime's truck mode, I'm more a fan of vehicles than I am of robots and TF's have some incredible alt modes.

When TF first came out in the early 80's I was huge into Pro Wrestling and Hulk Hogan so I didnt really pay much attention to them but when I saw the cartoon that is when it took off for me. I mean here was a robot named Optimus Prime and his Autobots vs the evil Megatron and his Decepticons. It was great! Then came the toys and again I was blown away by them. I cant recall how many wars my freinds and I staged with our TF toys. Then time went on and I got into other things but what got me back into it was the release of MP Prime and the Alternator/Bineltech toy line along with the new Dreamwave comics that went back to the G1 story line as well as the dvd G1 set. I just wish I would have kept all my original TF toys because I had alot of them and I always kept them in good quality but I was young and stupid then and didnt know any better. But TF takes me back to my youth and even now at 33 I still love them especially G1.

Big robots, cool cars, awesome toys, what's not to love?

well when i was a littel kid,,(mabye 4 or 3) beastwars was airingwhen i was in kindergarten,,that show was the best yet,,3-D, animals that turned into robots,,THE TOYS,,and megatrons rubber duck that had to be the best

The vehicles WERE the action figure. That was something you just couldn't beat!!

I grew up with G1, and would let my imagination carry me away into the world of the Autobots and Decepticons. The basic struggle between good and evil with twists and turns in between. My interest was rekindled with Beast Wars (the show), RID (the toys) and the G1 DVD sets and reissues (both japanese and american). I only wish that more of our countries leaders were like Optimus Prime. Maybe this world would be a better place. Hell, I wish they were more like Rodimus Prime. :tflaugh1 That would still be better than that jackass Bush. :tfgrin

Unfortunately, I don't play with my TF's anymore. I'll fiddle with them and pose them, but that's about all I have time for. I still think of stories and stuff, but work and bills get in the way. However, if I ever do have the time to play with them again, it'll happen.

Like alot of us "old farts" I grew up with the G1s when they first came out I was totally blown away by them. they were like the greatest thing ever invented and I REALLY got into them. I would pretend to be a transformer, design new transformers, and spent every dime I had on them *outside of video games* Unfortunately we were poor so I was only able to get a few of them.

Unfortunately, they met a blazing end in our burn barrel when my dad burned them in the hopes that I would improve my grades and refused to let anyone get me anymore or for me to buy any so that ended that and I fell into withdraw. I was soo happy to see them bring tfers back with the BW. and I'm even off the medication now. :tftongue

I like robots. I like cars. The cartoon really grabbed me. I back into collecting them once Beast Wars came out, when Transformers toys finally became what I always wanted them to be. Action Figures! It is fun to have Transformers that are fully posable while in robot mode. It's sad now that I am too old to fully enjoy them as toys instead of just works of art. I hated playing with them when I was younger and I couldn't get them to do the stuff I just saw on TV. That sucked. I Would have Killed for an Alternator back then. Hell, even minicons for the most part have better articulation the G1 figures.
