Well guys, after seeing the movie there's ALOT that I've got ot say..... especially about the "bads" of the movie...... First off me and my gf and my friend and his bro, we all drove to the thaters like 4 hours before the showing started on the 3rd. and wow was it warly or not, cuz we were like the only ones there. Ok so, in order to kill time, we bought snacks and ate it, we played cards (even I kept beating them XD) but yes, the wait was very exciting.

 

Around 7:01 was when most of the crowd started coming in, and the theater immediately got filled up. I had to order my tickets online and pay $1.00 convinience fee for each ticket...., I bought 4... =_+ well...that's the retardedness of Canada for you. Anyhow my original thought of the movie were pretty iffy, mostly leaning towards the bad side. But then when the trailers came out I was convinve that it was going to be a good one, even though I saw all those "clips" and trailers like @ least 15 times....so yeah....if it was bad I'd blame myself, cuz I already spoiled it. Plus I also read d a comics and prequal one so that I knew "exactly" what was going to happen..... :( and there was the novel.....

 

Anyways back to the rating. I would give it a 6/10...why? originally I would have given it a 12/10, buuuuuuuuut............ there are some things which annoyed the crap out of me. The movie itself is FIIINE. As in its gd, its realistic, its very graphic, I liked it alot. By the time the movie came out, the alien robo designs didn't even bother me anymore. But why did it get a 6 instead of 12 you wonder? Well, about 1 year ago when the movie came out, I was already speculating that it would suck, why? Too much humans and not enough robots. Which mean NON-TF fans will like it and hardcore TF fans like myself wont'. And this would become a vital point in whcih the Moviewasn't good for me.

 

The reasons:

 

1) more than HALF THE ROBOTS were fillers..... like most of the Decepticons.......and half the autobots....=_+

 

2) Jazz died, the only autobots which I "didn't" want to die, had died. :( And damn Ratchet barely did sh#t....he was just helping Ironhide shoot stuff most of hte time...and I still think his face is ugly >:( btw in the Movie novel BC gets slammed or something, can't remember what it was but it was from being slammed

 

5) Barricade Lived.....but never made it to the final batle in the city in time...=( sighs.....well @ least he got more appearences than most of the other Decepticons....and he was cool ;) but in the novel he tried to sneak onto primeright after he had killed BC, and Prime jsut bashed him into da wall and he just sat there in almsot 2 piece, sighs......

 

6) Brawl: welll...they named him Devastator....which is ok imo but......he was also a cannon foddler who got ganbanged by the human and their insignificant firepower... and got head-shotted by Bumblebee who was crippled...sighs....forgot how they killed him in the novel but.....proba bot the same.But yeah, shorts appearences.

 

7) Frenzy...was like the lil hyperactive guy from Star Wars or something, got his head sliced by his own bommerrang....=_+....ah well...@ ;least he had MORE sreen time than most Decpeticons, and he"did" cripped the entire worlds' satellite n phone systems;) which I loved !~~

 

8) Blackout was SIIIIIIIIICK ~~~ that 1st scene where he just murders the whole bas was awsome, even though he only appeared for the 1st n last battle, he was still one of the coolest chracters, too bad his lil hack @ the military base was stopped, and he was shot in da crotch by a human =_+ and died..... weh....there goes my fav. coolest chracter

 

9) Sorponok: dunno why BO didn't come to help him when he was being bombarded with the A-10 Warhogs but.... @ least we didn't see him die, he jsut escaped. But my friened's bro says that he propb. "died with the chopper"..... which I hope isn't the case.

 

10) SS: was ok by the time I saw him in the movie, didn't mind his chicken legs anymore or his weird triangular body, but he DID NOT appear that often....even in the novel.... he jsut comes in the end.....and his lilttle dialogue with megatron was like....so short.... but he is one of the Decepticons who made it out of this mess alive, and it seems that he's flying back to Cybertron, perhaps to gather more reinformecments, and to tell them that the allspark had been destroyed

 

11) FINALY!!!! Megatron............ who also died in the hands of a human....when Sam shoved the cube up his chest, I was jsut like...0_o ehat?!?!?! actually a kid I saw in TRU told me this, I had forgotten about this from the comics, and didn't bother 2 read all of the novel until the movie ended. Sighs....poor poorMegs....who only appeared for a bit, cuz they were saving him as the"final boss" dort of thing. But I did liek da part where he flicked one of the human away hehe ~~ and now his body is @ the bottme of the sea....being pressurized....well he did get the allspark....-+_+...in a ironic way he "did" get what he was searching for....

 

All in all, I thought the movie was ok. The actin scenes were great, the humans were alright, and the Decepticons were badass....cept most of em were killed=_+ but yes... if not all the Decepticons had died, then I would have thought that it was a great movie. Well, if they went down in a good fight then I would complain but..... the goodguys alaways have to outnumber the badguys to win....sighs.....that is something that will never change in the history of Transformers, no matter how many series they make. But yes I was very outraged that most of my fav. chracters had died, it was more like a personal rant rather then saying the movie was bad on a whole basis. The truth is though, they spent more time on the humans and lesser time to develop on the robots, in this case, the Deceticons....now I know why there are more of em....4 cannon follding =_+

 

Anyhow I don't know if you guy liked the movie or not, I certaily did, cept tha fact that all my fav, chracters had died =_+ but yes. tell us more about what you thought was good or bad about the movie ~~

300 was a better movie so transformers is not the best movie

I think that's close to what I think about the movie. They certainly should have shown more interaction between the Decepticons throughout the movie.

Is this thread okay for some one who like the movie?....Alot! Even with my Fan glasses on, this was a good movie. It had so much humor in the Human scenes that I didn't mind no TFs. I would have loved more Con interaction but the way the story came together, it wasn't needed really. Starscream flying around in USA airspace without getting constantly attacked would have made no sense. So You couldn't have that. Brawl and Blackout.....Duh, they are rare military vehicles too that would have made them hard to hide. That's why Barricade and Frenzy got all the screen time. They are the only 2 Alt modes you see every day IRL.

I thought the movie was good but would have prefered if it was set on cybertron with no humans and the autobots lost but thats just me..Didn't the movie cost something like $170,000,000 so it had to be cheesy and hollywood so the general public would see it so it would make a profit.I'm 33yo an old transformer fan and was always going to see the movie but I'm not going to go out and buy an optimus prime toy but the kids will.Just remember the movie is a 2 hour toy commercial so nobody should get too Outback about it.Would hasbro have wanted to make the movie if they didn't think they would sell toys?The movie was made to make money not to keep old transformer fans happy.

Source material considered & the crap representations of classic tv shows that hollywood normally churns out Transformers was definitely a lot better. Disney has raped so many kid franchises/properties up the ass in the last how many years nobody can really even begin to compare Transformers to anything else. This is the first live action take on a cartoon (not a comic book so please don't confuse the two.) that actually works to entertain it's target demographic as well as some of the fanbase.

 

Speaking of corporate Transufomah! Disney does it yet again with Underdog later this Summer. Thank God I couldn't care less for it or I'd be Inspector Gadget pissed.
