Welp my camera is up and running again. Ok so it’s been a while since I “corrected†this wheeljack so this might not be in order. And I honestly can’t remember everything I did. I provided pictures of everything that might need one and well here’s the gist of it. This will only make sense if you have energon downshift in your hands while you read it and compare to the pictures.

Take your energon downshift apart.

 

-putting legs together. Take the left leg and switch it with the right leg. Now turn them around. You have to undo some screws to release the feet. They need to be turned around unless you want his feet to look super long in the front. you have to make notches for his feet to fit over the hood. This will make it very difficult to pull the feet back out from alt to robot mode. But I try to think aesthetics over convenience.

 

-waste. You see where the hips connect to the waste. Carefully cut those. You can turn them in into the abdomen to hide your cut marks. The hips will be in two pieces and not attached to the figure. Now, you need a spinning part. I used classic starscream’s cockpit’s part that spins it around. I carved out a section in his abdomen for it and in his hips. I used homemade pins to keep it there. The hips you’ll glue together. Now his waste spins for transformation purposes and action poses.

 

-Canopy/roof/widows. This is the part I’m not sure about because it was all trial and error until I got it right. But basically I glued the two halves together and never screwed it back into this body because it’s easier for me to take it off of him transform him and put it back on. See picture for the this one.

 

-wings. styrene, inkjet stickers and screwed into his sholders

 

-decals. Got alitalia logo from brandsoftheworld.com and designed the rest in illustrator. Inkjet print outs.
