Leader Optimus Prime

Recommended Posts

I got my Leader Optimus Prime today. I was surprised that his joints were very tight, his paint was very clean, and no scratches. I was very happy. Then, to my horror, I noticed the chrome red outlining outlining his seat windows (where they light up), that one is a darker shade of red than the other. Is this normal? Is anyone else's like this?

No mine are uniform... However I do want to point out that I have yet to see him transformed properly in any pictures. Yes the instructions have you leaving his hip wheels in the down position, but if you look at them, they have another pin hinge on them for folding them up toward his back. This makes the wheels almost invisible from the front. BTW, IMO this is the best Optimus Prime toy that has ever been released.

the hip wheels are suposed to be down, they only fold up for the knee bend. they can only bend 90 degrees instead of a full 180. IMO I think he looks fine with him down. My only gripe is that his gun is out of place in truck mode. either stikcing out the back for no reason, or not connected. As we know un connected weapons in alt mode made the baby jesus cry.

Please get back on topic.

Should I buy another?

you just have to ask yourself how much it bothers you, all TFs are going to have paint inconsistencies somewhere. My leader prime has a paint chip (tiny but I saw it :redface) on one of the blue flames.

for some reason my optimus prime says "math class is hard" and then giggles when I do the head transformation. Strangely it's Peter Cullen's voice.

Hey, I just looked at my Prime's blue stripes... and it has a chip! Thanks, dood lol :tflaugh

Oh well, that doesn't really bother me that much. But the red and not dark red chest does. Opinions?

The question really is "do these blemishes make the toy less fun?"

Is the blemish "being Leader Prime?"
