He is definitely an awesome figure. The only problem wiht him is he's impossible to open. It took me about an hour to get him open and out of the twist ties. It was crazy. But it was well worth it. :tflaugh

i found that with my 20th prime it was hard to stay calm to get it out of the box without damagin the box itself . nobody wants a ripped box on display . seriously a little bit of twist tie overkill .

I only bought Unicron because I found him in a half price sale. He's pretty poor IMO. The robot is poorly proportioned with huge arms and chest over scrawny legs with huge feet. His face looks really pudgy to me and I don't like the clear hand gimmick much either. His planet mode is just all-over bad - there's not a good thing I can say about it. The only thing making him even half spherical are two big shell parts you have to remove - I'm not a big fan of removable components being necessary for transformation but this guy is practically a pretender!

I've seen lots of people on various forums stating their disappointment and how they returned him to the shop. The main reason for anyone wanting him seems to be "because he's Unicron, dude - you need him!"

It took 20 years to produce this as a final design... I'd have gladly waited another 20 for something really worth the having.

Sorry to any Unicron fans out there!

Watchoo' talkin 'bout foo? His robot mode is perfect! He looks so much like the movie one it's great. The planet mode is awesome too! You design a giant robot that folds up into a ball..it isn't very easy! He's awesome! I would hate to have a perfect sphere, he would roll of the shelf! What the hell? Why would you want that?

Also...removeable components?? What the? Are you referring to the purple things that attach to his wings? I don't remove those! I just transform him back and forth with them on! No big deal! The instructions tell you to disattach them, since technically they are supposed to be on differently in each mode, but they don't actually. As long as it works in planet mode, it works in robot mode!

Sorry if I came off harsh, but seriously.

Well, I don't have one yet... I'm wanting the energon version... but if I see the armada version cheap, I'll get that one.

I dissagree with the ball idea... I think it would have been great if he transformed into a perfect sphere... then have some sort of clear stand for him... heck, $50 or so and he SHOULD be awesome... again, I look forward to getting one.

look over here, Niagara falls, fort erie Canada, all the walmarts have or had, (most of them gone now) Unicrons on for $37 CANADIAN, no lie, yet TRU still has him for $89, and thats what i paid for him, but i have to get things right away.
