bw, the robot modes looked like the cartoon, and the beast modes typically looked like animals, unlike with armada/energon, who's alternate modes still look like robots

JetStorm#1 you said that you cant stand the Alternators and that they were a joke, please clairify that one for me? If you were serious you must be on something because the Binaltech/Alternator line has to be one of the best TF toys to come out in years. So please tell me that you were only joking when you said that and if you werent please explain the reasoning behind your comment because I'd for one like to hear it.

:usa

Where is RiD, Alternators, heck even G1, G2? :ab

My vote goes to RiD as the best TF line. :thumb

Out of the four listed, I would say Energon. Not just for the G1 homages, but the designs are just great!

For me on a personal level though, it would probably be in this order:

1. G1: yes, the majority of the figures were bricks, but the character bio cards, TV/Comic characterizations and their overall designs were way cool.

2. MP/Alternators/BT: need I even say why?

3. Energon: aready mentioned why above.

4. RID: Comes in fourth just because of the fact that I only liked a few of the figures and the show was terrible. At least some of the figures had bio cards.

Shoot, gotta go to work. Later.

Alternators are a joke. Why do I say that? I've always liked the beast transformers better, so maybe I am being biased! BeastW was my favorite line (Bm too) I could never get into the alternator thing. Also Alternators look like some one just threw them together, no detail. I live for detail.

Have to agree with the detail part. They look excellent, but really, where are the machinery details we ALWAYS see on Transformers? :wtf (Think wires, hatches, pistons etc.)

And I voted Energon, because it's the most fun line and has very cool and interesting designs. Well, with the Decepticons at least. :redface

Also Alternators look like some one just threw them together, no detail. I live for detail.

If you don't own any of them, how can you say they don't have any "detail"? What "detail" do you mean? I own all four BT toys that have been released so far, and there's "detail" all over the place...

I'm not really sure what you're talking about Jetstorm. From Smokescreen's hoodscoop and top-mounted intercooler right down to Sideswipe's handbrake and gear-shifter, the Alternators are bursting with detail.

I hate Alternators becuse the say there G1 but they FAIL MISSURABLY.

To me these are the top five. Say what you will.

1. Binaltech. They look like normal cars until you transform them. The epitimy of "Robots in disguise."

2. Energon. G1 homages. loads of play value. Cool combining gimmicks. Kickass cartoon. Nuff said.

3. Armada. Cool gimmicks. Hidden weapons. Loads of play value. Cartoon wasn't bad if you didn't compare it to G1. Plus the first Unicron figure.

4. RID but just the Autobots. The Decepticons were crummy repaints of the worst figures. But Scourge was cool. But the cartoon was s**t.

5. Generation 1. The originals were great when they had a popular cartoon to support them. Without the toon they would be shelfwarmers.
