hey, i was bored last weekend and being that i scored a $5 prime from target i decided to repaint him, tell me what you think. i know its been done i'm sure, but i don't care, i wanted one of my own.

oh , and i am also sculpting a trailer for the classics ultra magnus, so it will transform like the original did, i hated that repaint

Looks pretty good. It would have been better if the windows were painted with a red clearcoat instead of opaque red, but other than that, great job. I look forwad to seeing how you do your custom Ultra Magnus trailer. If you want, take a look at mine over in the Transtopia forums. It may give you some ideas on how to go about it and come up with improvements I didn't think of. Good luck.

i actually used tail light tape for the windows, so i could paint it clear red when i got some .

i like it alot, and i was hoping to make the trailer function too, i dont think i will aim for mine to be as complicated. maybe more of a shell, that the classics magnus sits inside, its funny the exact same pose for him as yours, was what i planned. i am making the head fold down, the arms and shoulders wil just sit on top , and the head will stay attached.

 

i guess what i mean is the same idea different attack at it.

 

i also have an "alt. menasor" in the works. and i am making replicas of the "brave maximus" sword from RID. this is one of my priorities though.

Mine is actual armor. The boots, torso and head (actually a helmet that fits over the inner robot's head) are all seperate pieces, though the arms are attached to the torso on struts. The helmet fits under the deck in trailer mode. For the trailer hitch, I suggest using 9mm square tubing. It fits perfectly right over the square "post" on the cab's back end.

I used to have a Digital Camera that didn't have focus, but I discovered a work around. If your camera can be used as a Web Cam, try taking images in Web Cam mode. I got a lot of decent close ups by putting up a dark background just behind the figure (a hand towel draped over some MacGyver'd chopstick frame) and letting the computer try to focus the camera on its own.

 

I don't know how or why, but it worked.
